Reavers.

They breed like cockroaches, they can take a shotgun to the head and are way more common than Deathclaws of Glowing Ones. Also they have a tendancy to rush.

Deathclaws aren't so bad at high levels and with a dart gun, and Overlords were murder until I started shooting the weapon out of their hands. But the Reavers... oh god the Reavers. Pure evil. Everytime I see one I make a D: face. And maybe cry a little.

I voted for the deathclaw, purely because it follows that one law.
'The bigger something is, the better it is at sneaking up on you.'
Height-wise, the rest of the options are much smaller than a deathclaw, and don't have the same capacity for sneaking up on you/materialising right behind you. Getting the drop on a deathclaw is a rather uncommon experience, unless you're stalking them around Old Olney. Out in the Wastes, they will always get the drop on you, then drop you before you even turn around.

Bastards run too quick.

Feral ghoul reavers would take second place, but a few well-timed grenades usually sort them out for me.

Where the radscorpions are concerned, they're not exactly hard to outrun, and they lack the ability to climb, so standing on a rock with a shotgun renders you near-invincible.
As for the yao guai, I like to hunt those in my spare time. I don't know why, but punching a bear with a power fist is oddly entertaining.
The Glowing Ones aren't even worth adding to the poll, in my opinion. You physically can't struggle against a Glowing One.
The brahmin tied with the deathclaw at first, but then I discovered they lacked the ability to attack...and the mole rat made it into the finals, before I beat one with a stick and it exploded.

You've never heard of the Mad Brahmin of the wastes?

They charge at you and try to kill you. Seriously.

They were trying to kill me? I thought they wanted a hug...I saw a brahmin coming toward me, but he got mobbed by some radscorpions, and they killed him too quickly for me to see him fight back.

The first time I did it was the best. The bear flew backwards, sailing away from the cliff edge, pawing at the air feebly in an effort to slow its fall.
Then, his friend attacked, I punched him too, and he slid pathetically down the hill, all in slow motion, before colliding with a super mutant at the bottom.

Uh...Hulk smash came to mind.

I laughed when I saw 'Mole Rat'.
But seriously surely it's the Deathclaw? I mean, it kill you in around 5 hits.
If you want to go all philosophical then you could say it's you. You do kill every creature listed here and several of your own species.

Oh, and what about the Super mutant Behemoth?

Question: Is the ghoul reaver only around in the add-ons? Cause I've never seen one.
Yeah and the Albino Radosocorpion. Only in Broken Steel.

Why is the Super Mutant Behemoth not an option. I had to fight one without a fat man once- it was fuckin' near impossible

I got to go with a deathclaw half the time I don't even realize they are around until it's too late since they barely make any noise unlike the Reavers.

Sentry Bots. Those guys sponge up way more damage than anything else. They dish it out pretty good too.

Once you get past level 20 and you have decent weapons you can drop deaths claws easily. Albino rad-scorpions are way deadlier. They have the same strength as a death claw, 3 times the health and are more damage resistant.
