I hate it when kids try to seem badass and come up with a name like xXShadowDemonSniperXx. I saw a youtube username that was like "Hahahahahahhahahhha" or something. When I asked them how the hell they remembered it to log in they replied with "good question"

They were all things people thought were cool in the past, just like you think the word 'zombie' in your name is cool right now. Once the whole stupid zombie obsession passes, people will be complaining about how bad your username is.

I stuck 13 in there because, you know, it's supposed to be unlucky, and then my avatar is a black cat and.... Yeah I'm totally badass T.T

But I like it when usernames have numbers. They just seem more like a username, and give the impression that people on the interwebs are mass produced robots. Awesome.

I can't stand people with a bunch of "Xs" or numbers in their name because they couldn't come up with something original.

I can't badmouth them, after all the aim in my name is for my email A-I-M, it doesn't bother me.

Yeah, they're a bunch of morons, huh?

OT: Don't really mind it myself.
You two don't really count because your numbers sort of make sense, I mean 99 and 123 are just badass

The really annoying ones are the ones like "xXKillaXx4598"*

*an actual user name my friend uses on his Instant messenger

ME HATE USERNAMES WITH NUMBERS IN. SMASH.

I'll admit there are exceptions, but they usually just look silly.
Also, I find replacing letters with numbers to be rather counter-intuitive, especially given that people are taught to spell correctly when they're still widdle kiddies.

What would my name clarify as?

On Topic: If it's done merely beacuse the original was take, I can live with it. If it was done because they thought it was cool, I get someone new to hate.

Off Topic: Cheese butt? Really?

The only scenario where I've appended numbers to my username was my hotmail account, and that's only because I'd also created the one without the number and then started using the numbered one more.

If a name I want is taken, I will never resort to padding it with numbers or nonsense letters, I'll just think of something nobody else has instead.

I try to avoid numbers at all costs. Just look at the names of some of my characters:

Macgyvercas (general online use)
Drakelius Des Morte (DDO)
Ganondorff Dragmire (DDO) (Ganondorf was taken)
Father Angus Cameron (Chivalry & Sorcery)
Quinsforth Firestorm (DDO)
Sighard Firethorn (DDO)

If you will notice, none of them have numbers.

I generally dislike them, mine is from an old username I made 2 years ago, and I never bothered to come up with something more clever as I'm used to it by now.

Numbers on names are okay as long as they aren't excessive. I've never used more than two numbers on a username except for my aim, but I don't use AIM too often anyway.

The xXXx things are annoying though.
