Timesplitters 2, hands down.
It was a huge improvement from the first and it was the best fps to hit consoles since GoldenEye. The third part was pretty muchonly a slight upgrade

Well I have only played the second one, but I did also enjoy it, although some segments in the coop story could be a little frustrating.

Future perfect was the shit boys and girls. It actually had a story compared to 2's random area and character thing. I never really got it. The multiplayer on both was amazing though. The third one had more weapons and characters though.

TimeSplitters (along with Halo) sort of define what is so great about split-screen multiplayer, for me. TS3 was very good no doubt, but in my opinion not enough to top TS2. Of course this is not to mention the creative and totally off-the-wall characters and plot of all the TS games.

I hold high hopes that Free Radical (now Crytek UK) will get TS4 out there eventually.

I never played the third one, but I'll always remember TS2 for the man who thought he was a robot.
The robotic "Oww!" when you set him alight is probably my favourite soundbite ever.

TS2 for the multiplayer
TS3 for the challenges. I still cant beat the cardboard cut out on hard in Venice. *Snaps controller in half*

future perfect was like the second, only better.

the silent, badass Cortez from the second one turned into a wise-cracking funny ass hero who I loved to play as.

"Its time to split!"

ah, its so bad its good, and Future Perfect is the only reason I still have my origional xbox.

Why the fuck isn't it playable on the 360?

And what other game lets you play as a Badass Robot (actual name), a giant duck, calamari, the Gingerbread Man, or a ninja monkey?

Yes, you can play as a monkey, who is a ninja, its that awsome

I know "Timesplitters 2" is going to win, but, really, "Timesplitters: Future Perfect" trumps it in every way.

Also, zombie-monkey named "Brains" is STILL my favorite FPS character of all time.

Despite the fact that Future Perfect had a better mapmaker and a real story mode, I can't not vote for TS2. That game had me hooked for months; it was the game of choice when friends were over, and the arcade leagues/challenges kept me occupied when I was alone. Plus, it had the best multiplayer maps. That said, Future Perfect was still BA, and I love them both. Here's to hoping Free Radical will somehow get another one out.

I hated the game...
Dunno why, I just really really didn't enjoy it. Like how some people just don't enjoy roller coasters.

TS2... doing the Duckman Drake arcade challenge where you have to kill like a million many in like 2 minutes with shotguns lol

That was probably the singular most annoyingly hilarious thing I ever did. hiding in the bathroom with the shotguns as they flooded in going "QUAAAAAAAAAAAAACK" when they did rofl.

Also... IIIIIIEEEEEE I'M ON FIRE! lolz

Haven't played the third one~ Any strong recommendations that'll persuade me to buy it?
It's better than "Timesplitters 2" in virtually every way.
It has an actual plot.
The writing is fantastic.
It's hillarious beyond all belief.
All the classic characters make thier return + a bunch more.
The map-editor is perfect.
It carries over most of the maps from "TF2" + a bunch more.
The weapons are great (long live the monkey-gun!)
It's one of the few franchises that were NOT screwed-over when EA took the helm.
Cortez is ten-times the bad-ass he was in the others.
Split-screen multiplayer has never been so fun.
A zombie-monkey named "Brains"
Check out t he character list yourself, some time.

So, yes, I recommend the hell out of it.

For the time it was released? TS2.

For what one would entertain me the most? Future perfect.

By that I mean. Future Perfect would offer me the most enjoyment, but I think TS2 was far better given the time it was released.

I've been a long time fan of this series ever since the first one, ad I'm praying to god Crytek UK or whatever Free Radical is now will do the fourth one properly.

Well aren't you the snarky little lady? You know it was a typo.

No, I highly doubt it still has much of an online community, but, seeing as I got the Gamecube version anyway, that's never been a concern of mine and, truly, the campaign and challenges alone are well worth the price. Though, I advise the Gamecube or Xbox versions if you have friends to play with. It's just that fun.
You DO have friends, don't you?

I do have friends sir and/or madam. Why so offended and threatened there? I was just double checking. TF2 is one of my fave games, and if they threw in the TF maps into TS3 (don't see why they would, but still) I would wonder why I hadn't bought or heard about it earlier... I might pick it up. Car payments come first though. And try and spend some more time on this site before getting angry with people eh? I didn't mean offense by it, really. So chill, and don't call me a "snarky little lady" again, ass.
