I loved Ocarina of Time. And I'm not talking about this through nostalgia, either. I played through the game fairly recently (this year at some point, I don;t remember when), and I found it to be a rather enjoyable experience. (Well, it was rather Master Quest, but same difference. I prefer the harder puzzles anyway, and the easier Water Temple...).

That being said, I could never really get into Majora's Mask. I felt like I ended up going through the motions by the third or fourth dungeon, and that time limit was damn annoying...

I've always favored Majora's Mask, since it feels like the game is at least trying to do things differently from the other Zelda games.

But in the end, the best of the games has to be Master Quest, because it's actually a challenge compared to the other ones, which I find, to a large, insultingly simple.
I can't help but agree with this. Sadly, I never was able to play master quest because it was part of a pre-order bonus for the wind waker that I actually signed up for, but the stoner working at Toy's R Us realized that he could make more money by stealing the disks and selling them off to the side.

God I am getting so sick of this! Everytime someone says they really enjoyed Ocarina of Time others instantly think it's just nostalgia and they don't believe you if you say otherwise, how thick can you get?

Most of my favourite games are on the Super Nintendo so that must make me blinded by nostalgia.

Ocarina of Time wasn't just great for it's time, it's a great game in general, it just about did everything right besides the Navi thing even though that didn't bother me. And till this day it is still probably the most fun adventure game I have ever played and one of the very few I could play through again.

OOT Wins it for me (How unoriginal)

I did enjoy windwaker, not so much the Cell shaded graphics though.

I completely loved TP! Even tho it was a little copy pasta.

Link's Awakening. My first Zelda game and by far one of my favorites. There was something magical about the first time, before you notice the cliches (the boomerang, hookshot, etc), and I really enjoyed saving "Mire" (Marin, I have a knack for pronouncing names wrong). And the music was amazing.

Honorable mentions go to OoT, which I'm almost done playing the first time. (Have yet to play MM, WW, ALttP.. so much to do!)

I'm surprised at the number of people picking TP and WW though. I thought it would be way more directed toward the older games.

I don't know if that was directed at me or at the reasons why I put that there in the first place....

The fact a lot of OoT fans have to put "it's not because of nostalgia" because they love the game and it's not because it was only good back then.

Yeah, it's a little annoying. I mean, the game aged fine. It's still a shining example as to what an adventure game should be.

Also, I agree with what you said about Navi. In my opinion, the only reason why it's annoying is because it's taken out of context. She never says as much or as fervently as people like to portray it...

Twilight Princess. I never beat any Zelda games, but this is the one I came closest to beating.

It was good.
