Link to the Past was the best of them for me, I loved the classic feel yet it was deep and complex to 100%.

Majora's Mask hands down for me. The atmosphere and story are so gripping, and the gameplay is outstanding as usual

Majora's Mask was my favorite by far. So much to do and collect, and somehow none of it felt repetitive at all. The atmosphere and setting are brilliant as well, but I very rarely judge a game along those lines. More important to me are the widely varied play-styles that result from Link's ability to transform into the various races. Twilight Princess's wolf transformation didn't feel as well-executed as the Goron or Zora forms in MM, for some reason.

While the dungeon design has always been one of the hallmarks of the series as a whole, the use of the various racial abilities/specialties in each of the dungeons made Majora's Mask even more compelling in this regard. In a similar vein, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks both seem lacking in this dimension; the majority of their dungeons feel more like an abstract collection of puzzles than a single, coherent entity.

I'm anticipating a thorough ninja-ing here, but I found Twilight to be overall superior to Ocarina because it was so damned thorough and polished. I really do hope they raise the bar on boss difficulty for the sequel, though.

its a toss up between Wind Waker and Majoras Mask. I loved MM for the dark theme that at first was unusual to the game but makes it a lot better.

and I actually loved the WW cell-shaded style. People say its kiddy and that Link is so unrealistic when he's more expressive than in any other iteration... People say they want more realism to connect with the character more.. when ironically I find the realistic graphics for Link to be bland as hell

Were you born stupid? Or is that a skill you developed along the way?

No, it's a sarcastic remark.

Of course you were too angry at me to notice. I love the Zelda games, they are legendary, and I think Ocarina of time is the best one too. So quit whining, I was being saracastic.

A Link to the Past for me.

I couldn't help but feel that Twilight Princess was an attempt to re-capture Ocarina that almost, but not quite, worked.

Ocarina was amazing, but I can't help but feel that the game's a little threadbare. It was, in many ways, revolutionary. The problem being that I think that people were learning as they went, which resulted in an understandable lack of polish in places. Frankly, I feel the same about the first Zelda, by and large.

A Link to the Past was, for me anyway, the most polished. As with all Zeldas, the creators went for an epic and set themselves strong, solid goals. I think that this is the only Zelda where they hit every one of them dead-on, or without misstep or having to sacrifice something to hit it.
