I notice that Zelda II : Links Adventure isn't in the list. Did every one hate that game as much as me? I swear you died every 5 minutes and after you last life was over you had to start at the beginning and it was a major pain in the ass to get back to where you were last. My favorite Zelda game was A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time is a very close second. I think i like Link to the past more because i wasn't pestered by "HEY Listen!" every 5 seconds.

ROFL...that's so random.

On topic, I'mma have to go with Wind Waker. It's my favourite, but that doesn't mean I think it's the best. Personally, I think Ocarina is the best. Majora was the most unique and I loved its setting, but sometimes the gameplay was a little too annoying.

That said I did complete it 100%.

I have to go with A Link to the Past since the one's before it sucked and it was the first fantastic one in the series. I have a soft spot for Link'ss Awakening though since I thought that one was easily the most challenging. It might have been because I was young though.

I'd have to say a link to the past, because that game had an epic story line, and also was very challenging with all the puzzles. The length of the game got me hooked. :D A LINK TO THE PAST FTW

Link to The Past.

That last Zelda game that was wholly committed to a Link that kicked ass and took names. None of this silly Mask and Wolf bullshit. You had a sword, and you KILLED SHIT.

Ocarina of Time for a close second, though I could say some unsavory things about a magic flute and a protagonist with an Age crisis.

....and Navi. Dear god, Navi. MAKE IT STOP!

Wind Waker was, for me, the Zelda game I always wanted. I remember playing it and being mesmerised by its art style, the vast ocean to explore, the sidequests and the vibrant characters. To be honest, I'll play Wind Waker until I died, I don't want another Zelda game. To me, every Zelda game after Wind Waker didn't have the same impact.

Ocarina of Time. Best. Game. Evar.
I am shamed by saying Evar, but it was worth it.

Seriously, I grew up with that game, its pretty much the reason I play video games today.

I don't know how the weather is in the rest of the world, but where I live I'm pretty much snowed in at the moment. So I sat myself down on my couch and brought forth the ol' Nintendo 64, popped in Majora's Mask and went on another epic adventure.

Thus I was reminded why Majora's Mask is my favourite Zelda game, due to it's darker atmosphere, creepier setting and deep character story. This begs the question then, which is your favourite Zelda?

Now I know Ocarina of Time is said to be the best Zelda game of all time, but that doesn't necessesarily make it so, in your book. Throw a vote and write why you like one particular Zelda game, more than others, if that is the case.

(In case some of you were wondering where all the options went, the escapist doesn't allow you to add more than 9 options in a poll, so I picked the ones I belived to be the most competative. If yours is not on the list, just write it.)

EDIT: There's a Final Fantasy post of the exact same kind as this, so I hope you will take a vote, even though it can seem as a clone (-:

EDIT 2: Here's an example of why I think Majora's Mask is a darker game, since the music is partly at fault. This is just the opening theme;

EDIT 3: Added a ninth option. Apparantly that's possible? Ages/Seasons.
Can you add wand of gamelon, and faces of evil.

Zelda CD-I, simply because they so hilariously awful and annoying.

But, in all actuality, I loved Majora's Mask.

I loved MM but could never beat it because it was a rental and I didn't have much time. The only thing that put me off was the insanely hard water level boss. Other than that, MM is made of pure gold. Ocarina of Time comes second and Twilight Princess third.
Thanks a lot nostalgia....

Honestly liked Twilight Princess the most... and my first Zelda was Link to the Past.

Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker are somewhat timed...although the amazing combat system in Wind Waker pushes it a bit ahead.

As for the GB Zeldas, I loooooooooved Ages/Seasons, but thought Link's Awakening had its moments. (Playing through the whole game being called THIEF, anyone?)

I think I should have added Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks or Minish Cap instead of Zelda II to be honest, since they're both likely to actually get votes. Oh well, can't have it all, can we?

If i HAD to pick just one... id go with Ocarina of Time, just cos i loved it so much when it was first released... and since it was the first experience of a 3D Zelda game. That said, i reckon Majoras Mask is on par with OoT.

Ocarina of Time for me. I reckon the dungeons were the best in OoT and most of the bosses as well.
