Punk, possibly. Due to clothing and musical tastes.

Labels are for idiots though, and I would lie if I didn't say I have adopted a mish-mash of different styles.

I'm a nerd in the sense that I play video games, know how to read (and enjoy it, I know, scary right?), I like scifi and I appear to be collecting "action figures"... and books... but I spent highschool being called a "goth" because I wore black and listened to gothy music (alas, retards do not comprehend what a uniform is and didn't realise I was more than likely listening to Nickelback at the time).

I'm pretty set on being a misanthropic nobody though, so that's my stereotype.

I wouldn't say that I belong to any group (sure, I probably have 'traits' from quite a few but that doesn't mean I identify with them).

Then again, in our self proclaimed 'individualistic' society being 'labeless' has become a label in itself ('I'm different just like everyone else!').

I play jazz, will listen to any genre of music (provided it sounds like some effort has gone into its production), study science, play games and find it difficult to take things seriously.

Obviously that makes me Emo.

I prefer to be called a nerd. Don't really know why.
I'd try and deny it, but having my iTunes library consist soley of Team Fortress and Left 4 Dead remixes, I'd just be fighting a losing batle.

I really don't think I fit any of the given ones. Then again, I am 19 and from my experience these sterotypes don't move on from school to the real world.
If you saw me in the street I guess you'd think I'm one of those blonde airheads you all despise so much. Appearances can be wrong however. Because I would be walking down that street listenening to some heavy metal, on my way back from my job at Game, an dif you look closely you'll see my 'RIP Edward Blake' wristband.

Then again... it depends what day it is. I might be wearing my Metallica tshirt.

If my stereotype is defined by interests I would be a mixture of almost everything.

By appearance, usually a mixture of emo and pseudo-hippy.

If you wanted to label me, I guess I'm a nerd. But I really couldn't give two shits. I get on well with people because of who they are, because we have a shared interest or just because they have a good character. People either like me or don't, but if they hate me for being geeky, then it's their problem, not mine.

And what the hell is a grebo? just to put my mind at rest.

You kids and your binarisms.

It's all relative, someone may call you a gamer and someone else might just call you a geek. We shouldn't try to fall into stereotypes; people will eventually make their own mind up about you anyway.

That said, it's never a good thing to fall into the most insidious stereotype of all; thinking you don't conform to any stereotype. In the words of Tyler Durden; 'you are not a beautiful snowflake.'

To say I belong to one would be to oversimplify a lot - which is the case with a lot of people. Also, let it be said I don't like being labeled (I just happened to be bored when I stumbled upon this thread). I play Baldur's Gate, GTA and Magic: The Gathering a lot, and my social circle is quite limited - though partly by my own wish. That, and a lot of other small things get me a lot of nerd points I guess. I do whatever the fuck I want, whether it's fashionable or not, and I feel that makes me more punk than the "punkers" who all go around with mohawks and leather jackets/piercings etc., because, really, they're just flocking to another herd than the main one. I do too, at least I'm honest about it. I listen to Nightwish and other symphonic/orchestral/awesome metal (kamelot and A7X for example) and I dress in the colour black, so there's a couple of goth points for me, though I'm far too perky to be a stereotypical goth/emo. I wouldn't call myself Indie, as I listen to a lot of mainstream bands and such, but I'll listen to anything I LIKE, same with games and movies. If it had been out here I'd love to buy Braid. I love pink (and the rest of the colours as well), and I listen to some pop and techno (most often at parties, it's usually not the kind of thing you sit down and listen to for hours on end or something) and if with the right people I enjoy going to the mall and shopping...guess that nets me prep points. I'll admit I don't fit the stereotype of jock because I lack confidence, however, I have at several points in the past - and now in the present - taken up working out with weights and a treadmill and swimming and bicycling are some of my favorite things to do.

TL;DR: I do whatever the fuck I want and don't care about what stereotype it lands me in.

Other. I'm 'ethnic' no matter how pronounced our personality traits our ethnicity is always the part of you that will be recognized.

Irritable 60-year-old-in-16-year-old's-body wannabe intellectual with occasional delirium, a passion for arguing complete nonsese off the top of my head, a napoleonic complex (and an obsession with the man himself) and an often-hyperactive phsycopathic sense of humour.

Toss-up between geek and other, so I voted "Geek".

However, I'm a shaved-head chick with lots of tattoos, who wears skater clothes, listens to mostly foreign music (all varieties, euro/asian countries) reads a lot of non-fiction/biographies, watches geeky stuff (anime, sci-fi, History/Discover channel) and plays games.

*shrug*

I also swear a ton and love me some Guinness.

I dont fit into a stereotype, and I'm glad of it. They only limit you. It's much better to do what you want, rather than fit into a stereotype.

I'm into metal, punk, country, blues, classical, dance, pretty much any kind of music, I'll give anything a chance. I dont dres in any particular style, just shirt and jeans when I want to look decent (most of the time) and a t-shirt and jeans/combat trousers the rest of the time, so my clothing doesnt really fit in to anything either.

I love games and other geeky stuff, but then I love going out with mates and getting wrecked, and I love the outdoors, so yeah, I dont do stereotypes, I'm just who I am.

Stereotypes are boring, and so are the people who fit them.

Im stereotyped as the guy who would have pills, cigs, or drugs.

I DO NOT HAVE ANY OF THESE!

I DO NOT DEAL DRUGS!
I get the same thing. It can get embarrassing when someone comes up acting like they know you and ask in front of other people. Do you have long hair as well?
use to, not anymore
