Poll: What's your type of stealth game?

Being invisible, hence Thief. It works especially well for me, because in that game, you really have to be invisible.

Plus, when you're pilfering goods from some rich peoples mansion, pressing yourself against the wall in the room you've just extinguished all the light sources in the room while one of the residents starts to get uncomfortably close to you.

Then, once they pass, you sneak up behind them and club them with your blackjack! Good times.

where i can play on different days in different moods and still tailor make my experience according to how i feel at the time .. metal gear

shadow: dont get caught, dont kill anyone (no tranq gun)
reaper: dont get caught, kill everyone using ONLY knife
guardian angel: help rebel factions win battles but dont get caught, even by them
instigator: tranq everyone and place some rebels in pmc positions and vice versa .. then watch hell unfold when they wake up next to enemies

I'd have to say stealth platformers. This is especially fun in inFamous, where you can scale buildings to sneak up on the target in the side missions that force you to do so. No one ever looks up.
