I love this, not one vote for video games lol, well I have no faith in humanity as long as people like Glenn Beck, Sean Hanity, Rush Limbaww, and Nancy Grace(by far the worst out of the ones I have mentioned) are on the air.
i'm a fairly upbeat and chipper person, occasionally compared to hammy from over the hedge, and I've got to say I've never really had faith in humanity. I think people are capable of amazing things but thats largely individuals.
That being said I wholeheartedly believe that people are flawed I go through my day tripping over peoples feelings, or being unreasonable because my perceived needs aren't being met or some other nastyness (not all day everyday you understand) so I have never assumed that there would be any noteable number of people out there who would do any better than me. People/humanity isn't going to rescue itself from the mire that we've dug ourselves into, we'll just become more individualistic and self centred.

When I realised that the future majority of the human population will be either:
A) Twilight fan-girls (who call themselves "Twi-hards"), or
B) Lads, who see it as a passing-through to manhood to beat up anyone who is obviously weaker than them. (Chavs, to those who may be confused.)
Of course, there will always be exceptions to these sub-cultures.
But I can't help but wonder if we are really set up for the future, knowing that these are the people who will lead humanity into the unknown.

Well... I don't recall when I lost my faith, it was when I started seeing how stupid and futile we all are...
Not all of us of course, there are some unique individuals out there waiting to be discovered... but still.

I don't know when I did,but somewhere something went wrong,I would say it was People,just general people made me give up I guess.(Most)People are annoying.
The sick stuff on the internet: beastiality, animal abuse, self abuse, abuse of others and 2girls1cup made me decide that i hated most people on the internet... but not to loose faith in humanity
Every day I'm thankful that I still have my faith, my hope, my innocence and sense of wonder. It's not easy, of course. It would be easy to surrender to cynism, to hate, to ignorance and apathy; to point at the flaws of others to feel better about myself. I can do it, I'm strong. But I feel sorry for those who're not so lucky.
My faith in humanity, or rather trust in humanity, got screwed up pretty early in life, about 10 years ago (18 now):
I was always bullied when I was in primary school, going home from school was always a Race to the Finish to get home unscaved (wich made me the fastest kid on school). Not that they beat me up often, it was more psychological torture (having to flee all your life isn't exactly nice). But anyway, one day they decided to have a bit more fun with me, and chased me around the whole village. I thought I was safe from them, when I hid in some kind of tube thing in a little playground, hidden between some houses. Now at the time, I had 2 really good friends, réal friends. Now for some reason they were nearby, and ofcourse what did they do: rat me out. After that I got chased in some climbing slide thingy, the bullies cornered me and threatened with a knife telling me to stay away (even though I'm the one who's fleeing) from them. After that they tried to trash my bike, and my 2 'best friends' simply laughed and ran away. And there I was, my parents didn't take it seriously nor did my teacher. All alone, no one to comfort me, no one to help me. I never really made real friends after that.

when i entered secondary school
seeing all those people there, bullying and being horrible to each other for no reason other than they were bored
it makes me think if its even worth trying to get along with them
and thats why my bestest friend is my laptop ^-^
