While I was at work, I worked at a theme park and you would think working at a theme park would be cool, but you are sadly mistaken. I did not meet ONE guest in the damn place who acked like I was a human rather than a chimp on a leash, so much disrespect.

For me it was a combination of the government, media, and healthcare industry. Doctors(at least in America) almost never care about you, only the money they can make off of you(Alot). Its amazing how members of my family, and people I know are getting scamed out of the money that they need for stuff like food, gasoline, and other nesessary things, with treatments that always come down to "Take 2 of pill A, 1 of B, and 4 of C daily" which almost never solve anything but how to pay off your doctor's new mercades.

I lost my faith in humanity when I started reading Youtube comments. This is basically what I saw.

Not really a when. More of a what. I'd say if anything the treatment of the environment but I haven't actually lost faith in humanity yet, people usually get a bit smarter when their asses are on the line.

I lost my faith in humanity at the age of thirteen or so, mostly due to a combination of government incompetence, media dumbing down, and just the fact that we're all ignorant medicated maniacs.

When I figured out the system of self destruction that humanity is spiraling through, I try not to think about it if I thought about it all the time I'd go insane.....ok More insane than now, I havent lost my faith in singular ppl humans on their own but that can only last so long.
I like the system animals have, you know the only think that seperates humans from animals is? I'll tell you; Words. Thats it, words, most animals can think with feelings or emotions but not words like we do, The words only slow us down, its our blessing and our curse.

I lost my faith in humanity around the time I realised we're more mindless than most animals
Most of our thought processes are auto-matic, from combat to eating and mating... We really don't know what we're doing.
Bullshit. What the hell makes us mindless? I can choose to do whatever I want to do, Is it an automatic reaction? Is it buggery. The fact that we can create things that don't particularly aid our survival proves that we're not mindless apes, but intelligent, sapient creatures. I can do whatever the hell I want to, and since when has all we do been fight, eat and sleep?

Face it. Humanity is the greatest species on the planet. We've proven our dominance time and again. I have faith in humanity. We're going to keep on innovating and our development is going to keep on happening. And no matter how many luddite hicks there are, there'll always be an Einstein, or a Tesla, or a Brunel. So yeah, I have plenty of faith in humanity left. Humans(and possibly termites) are the only species on the planet that gets shit done.
The part about the termites made me laugh.

I havent lost my faith just yet. I know that there are a lot of... unique individuals in the world but I know for a fact that there are plenty of good people. It sounds cliche I know but as long as I can see someone holding the door open, giving up a seat on transport or even just asking someone if they need help then I will have faith

If you only ever see the negative in everything then of course you will "lose faith in humanity".

But I love these threads, the most cliched thing to ever say on the internet is how you have no faith in humanity, its as if theres some rule that to post on a forum you have to hate humanity.

I have complete faith in humanity as always will. I feel sorry for those of you who don't

I think to lose faith in the whole of humanity for any of the reasons in the poll is very closed and narrow minded.

When I connected the definition of "faith" and society's view on "faith."

Lessee, "faith," believing in something despite a lack of reasonable evidence.

Society's view: "Just have faith, and your life will be better."

When I put those two things together, my perspective on humanity went to shambles. When a huge majority of humans thinks that believing some random spittle one guy puts out is a virtue, something is wrong.

Something is terribly wrong here...

My friends.

Hang on a second... you cynical bastard! You've just assumed that everyone is a misanthropist! At least have hope for the few remaining happy souls out there.

At the age of 6, when i realised my teachers didn't know everything and my classmates were ignorant. My experiences in the intervening 14 years have done nothing to demolish this. Yes, I'm quite aware this makes me pretentious.

I lost my faith in humanity slowly and painfully over the past few years.
It was somehow revived somewhat when Obama was inaugurated... And I guess it goes from there. :|

*50 points to the lily white teenagers saying "negroes" in every other sentence because it's cool.
