When I found out about religion and how awful it is but I lost the final hope for humanity when someone in my history class asked me which country the "Great Pyramids Of Egypt" were located.

These loss of faith polls are getting rather repetitive.

Cant we find some thing new?

I haven't lost it, quite the contrary in fact. Humanity is great, we're fantastic.
I'm afraid you're mistaken sir, we're not fantastic, I am.

Although I do not have faith, that would be unnecessary. I know that I'm fantastic.

I'm going to say "other" purely because there isn't a "most or all of the above" option.

I've just realised, I am in an extremely cynical mood right now. I'm sure it'll pass.

Probably during the advent of reality television.

No..Around the time I started to despise myself as well.
Just to even things out, I guess.

I lost my faith right about the time, people started to distinguish others by differences...even if they couldn't change them. Humans are naturally horrible, power hungry mammals that only care about pleasure and selfishness...but there are some good people out there, weirdly like most of the escapist community, its my favourite forum site.

my opinions on why humanity is lost:
government is lost
people think that killing animals for food is wrong, even though we've been doing it for millions of years
religion is basically another form of law in its current form
with god being put there to seem as if its base is eternal
people don't have their own beliefs anymore they just steal someone elses
whether it be culture, religion, etc. nothing is changing much in society
im guessing its how the apocalypse was estimated in '12(it's hasn't happened yet so it's just a guess)
also the increasing number of dumbasses

In school.

Now, I go to a Welsh medium school, and in Welsh, Jew = Iddew.
In R.E., we'd been doing Judaism for 1 and a half months.
In the middle of class, while our teacher was talking about the Jewish outfits, one of my classmates shouted = "so is Iddew Jewish then?"*
It turns out a majority of the class thought we were doing Muslim.
One even thought we were doing Cristianity.

NOTE *Translated for you non Welsh speakers.

I'm a Nihilist by trade, I don't believe that anything is right or wrong and there's almost no consistency with the people who think that there is. Personally, I believe people will do what they want to do, and if someone doesn't like it, ultimately it makes no difference. I mean, our own existence is nowhere near significant and really, when you think about it, all matters, big or small (by our definition, anyway) are totally insignificant. That's why I concern myself with things that only concern me and things nobody else cares about.

http://www.talkaboutcoffee.com/boiling_coffee_lawsuits.html is the link, but just for you I'll draw the main points out.

I heared someone was driving an RV, put it in cruise control, and went to make some cofee. She crashed. And she won a lawsuit because the manual did not say "you cant get up and do stuff while in cruise control."
It's not auto pilot, *****!(SLAP!)XD
I heard about this and apparently they now put that in the manual.
while in a mini mart me and a few members of the art club where getting ready for a trip, and I kid you not this candle had on the warning label "Do Not Eat!"

When i heard that a man chopped his own head off with a chainsaw.
( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfouD-GVnik ) Just suicide and murder in general is why i have more faith in cows then in humans, at least cows are being killed by other species.

Totally agree. We may do a lot of terrible things, but overall we're awesome. Long live humans!
