Duke nukem forever has been around for, well.....ever! So, when do you think that 3d realms will actually get a move on and release it?

Other developers manage to keep up though. I'd be amazed if we ever see DNF, which is exactly the way I like it.

When that game gets published I'm going to have funeral for the best video game joke, ten years running. It doesn't matter if the game is good or bad, its sheer existence will sully the once great gag that is Duke Nukem Forever.

I don't really care, nor do I understand what the fuss is about, so I'm betting it'll get canned after a little while.

I'm pretty sure that DNF is by now the game that has spent the longest in developer hell.

The funny thing is that if it ever does come out, its 90% likely that most people will be (rightly) dissapointed with it..

I think DNF would have to part the Red Sea (or at least turn water into wine) to justify the long development time. No, I think the world would be better off if DNF was quietly killed off.

I never thought Chinese Democracy would ever be released, so maybe there is hope for DNF. It's probably gonna go down the same route as Daikatana though. How the hell could a game live up to that much expectation?

it will come in 2010 and be a massive disappointment. Im sorry, but Duke Nukem looks like it will have nothing special.

2010. It's going to suck, people will make jokes about it for a few weeks, and then we can all finally just forget about it.

Forever is a long time...

That said, I voted 2009 because it's likely then or never. Their bosses have got to be like, "Budget? What budget?! Hah! Put to together out of string and bailing wire and get it out the door or I'll be using string and bailing wire to hang your lifeless corpses over the front door of the investor rotunda."

It should be renamed to Duke Nukem Never
I prefer, "Duke Nukem Whenever."

Frankly, if this thing never sees the light of day, its all too soon.
If it does come out, though, I'd love for it to have a sort of 90's flare to it, ya know?

I take it you guys didn't see this? http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=tSnNYUbNdfg

If there is anything I take from that (other than Jace Hall is a douche), its that it must be stuck in some sort of game development hell. Seriously, they should have said "Fuck Technology, just release this game." years ago and then worked on next tech if they still had jobs.

Also, what hype? No one is hyped for this game, hype died years ago. Now its more like a curiosity. I'm sure it will sell a few copies and not be anything special. If they try to hype this though, that will become instant fail, like it should be released with like no lead up press at all, just suddenly one day have it pop up on Steam for $20 and we'll pick it up just out of wondering what took so freaking long and have a good laugh at how silly it is. I expect 50% - 60% ratings at best for this slow poke.
