First off, MGS, GTA and Final Fantasy did not start on the PS or even the NES they all started on a Japanese home gaming computer (with the exeption of GTA). And also, I don't think that Guitar Hero was ever a PS exclusive. That being said, yes, they do have some good exclusives, but then so does the 360. Halo, Gears of War, and Crackdown are some of the few I can think of and own. but also, Microsoft brings in more money than Playstation so they can afford to buy the exclusives the biggest problem with your argument is that you're forgetting that these companies are actually competing, so they'll want to have more exclusives and run their company better. Sony cannot afford to buy the exclusives because they so stubbornly refuse to lower the price of their console. so, Microsoft being the smart company (and also having huge success with their line of computers) can afford to sell their console and games for cheaper, sony can't and have pidgeon-holed them selves to being the more expensive console with the mediocre exclusives while the companies that run them selves right can buy the good exclusives and sell their console for cheap and therefore be better in my opinion.
I have to agree the 360 kills my hopes... FFXIII due to their buying the advent children re-release didnt come with the ps3 playable demo to my dismay,also SO4 I love star ocean, look what happens, so many classic sony titles gone then again I have a strong hated for the xbox ever since DMC4

Resident Evil jumped ship from PS to Nintendo first and now games in the series are released for all platforms. No RE5 for Wii but they get exclusives so it evens out.
It's likely that Guitar Hero and Devil May Cry were only PS "exclusive" because PS2 had the market locked down until Xbox rolled into town. The market is in a different place than it was in the PS2 days, you have to look at it from a wider perspective than what you currently are.

Playstation did not have exclusive rights to all Metal Gear Solid or Final Fantasy games. I played MGS2 on my xbox, so the fact that the fifth game is coming to the 360 is just a return to form.
The fact of the matter is that Sony is losing money, the 360 is in more households, and a smart developer wants to get his titles out to as many people as possible. If you're not a fan of the 360 or Microsoft, fine. Let's not turn this into a fanboy war. But don't accuse developers of selling out or acting offended when exclusivity is lost. That's the power of the free market at work.

I am confused. Are you stating that because microsoft has acquired exclusives for their xbox system it is a monopoly?
Techinically... Monopolies are not allowed under the United States Federal Laws.
You can't REALLY call Microsoft a monopoly because Apple's just as big as MS now-a-days.
