This thread is weak. Metal Gear Solid hasn't even always stuck by PS, but whatever.

A monopoly according to the dictionary is: exclusive control of a commodity or service in a particular market, or a control that makes possible the manipulation of prices.

So in a weird way all exclusives would create monopolies and all 3 systems would be guilty. I'm just saying

Thats exactly why exclusives are bad for game manufacturers, why sell 1 game on 1 console when you can triple your earnings (or if you arent that much of a sell out then cut the Wii version of the game, you hear that Dead Rising for the Wii) and make even better games further down the line. Its business, not your best friend and should be treated as such.

Seriously if the Ps3 wants to protect it's "Exclusive games" They need to market them better or perhaps lower the price on the Ps3 entirely.

Sony is in trouble. They're too stubborn to lower the price of the PS3 (which is the only way they can improve sales). So they have no money to keep things exclusive. It isn't Microsoft's fault, they're doing what any smart business would do.

Here's a hint Sony: If your system is only marginally better at best, and has less exclusives and a crappier online service, you can't sell it for double the price.

You can't lower the price on something you're already losing money on and expect the sales to pick up enough to balance it out. It doesn't work that way. Marginally better? It's a lot better (system spec wise) to the PS2, and has a better online. The main problem is, as many devs have stated, it's hard to develop for the PS3 because it's so different from the "dumb computer" that is the 360 and the older hardware that is the Wii (by older I mean that it's more familiar).

I know Playstation recieves some game from Xbox but this is getting to be ridiculous. Xbox has taken GTA, Guitar Hero, Devil May Cry,Resident Evil and recently has taken A very well know title that has always stuck with the PS company, Metal Gear. If u are just as outraged please stop supporting bandwagon coporate systems like the 360, because if more focus is on the other systems more better quality games come along the way. In this year xbox has failed to come up with decent exclusive games Ex.(Halo Wars) and PS is creating more high quality titles in for the fact that people are coming to the realization that they like having a full package system that never breaks compared to the cheap ass system the is unoriginal. If im the only one whose thought process this way let me know.

You, stop being a fanboy and deal with it. They haven't "taken" anything, those games just became multiplatform. When you see God of War coming out for only the 360 and not PS3, then maybe you can complain (just a smidge), but in the end it won't really matter.

Name them. And by the way, if it's also out on PC, it's not an exclusive. PSN is just as good as LIVE, the only difference is that there is no party chat but I don't see how that makes it any worse. You're probably right, it is only slightly than the 360. But it still costs a lot more than a 360 to make because of that blu ray drive and processor. The PS3 does have some pretty good exclusives, if you can't admit that then well, this argument would be like me trying to argue with a rock. And the PS2 is still relevant last I checked, since they still make games for it.

Playstation creators were working under nintendo but when they branched off to they took some of their games that they created. One of those games being MGS. So to have MGS after more than 20 yrs going to microsoft is such a betrayal.

lol. Poor little fan boy. Just because xbox is getting better games now then the PS3 he has to rant and say xbox sucks. I don't mind the PS3, or sony, but serve the damn PS3 Fanboys right(not all are bad, just the one who have no mind at all, and can't take other people opinions.) Anyways, I grew tired of hearing PS3 better then xbox cause we got more stuff, and our online is FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok, good for you, but I prefer the games on xbox better. A lot of people don't seem to get that. I do kindof wish that the game companies just make all games multiplatform, beside wii, but only reason is because I don't see a lot of hardcore games on it.

Xbox was on its way to being good and original but they just bribed former exclusive games sooo much it made me sick. They started with GOW which perfected the cover firing system for games to come, and they released Condemned which is probably the most scariest and most intense game I ever played(which playstation stole... too bad the Second game wasnt that great at least towards the end the sony could've made money) and Live is superior to PSN(for a price). But then they took guitar hero and it went downhill from there. I just dont have respect for a company that cannot create enjoyable games without taking them from someone else.

There providing the same product that can be played on something that costs less. I can understand your anger, however I think you should focus your anger at sony for not being more competitive.

I am kinda just because they usually dont patent their games notice on Nintendo and 360 game boxes they state, "Only For_____" which kinda means that PS games r ready to whore itself out

How did they steal GH? GH wasn't a exclusive to begin with. And GH ruin it self..not xbox. I don't understand what your trying to say. GH did with the extra stuff cause Rockband came out and was so much better in letting you have a actually band. And also its the game companies that choose who they are going to make for. But I still don't understand since GH2-3 I believe came out for all systems, so I don't see how xbox ruin GH.

GH 1 was on PS then they cam out with GH2 after that then the 80s guitar hero. GH established a legacy on the PS first then 360 bought it out by making a refurbished GH2.
