I prefer Victims of Science Portal song over Still alive.
Out of the songs you mentioned; I prefer Mirrors Edge's Still alive, simply because it has a better rhythm. Although I might have gone off Portal's Still Alive after listening to it obsessively after completing the game =)

Still Alive (Portal) is still alive (har har see what I did there it was pretty clever don't you think). I can't see anything else in gaming taking its place as a nerdcore authem.

I saw that too,and i thought it was better that the original Mirrors Edge "Still Alive", but still, Portal's "Still Alive" is best.Anarchemitis said:
I hate how everyone gives the game Portal credit for the song "Still Alive". It was actually written by a great artist. His name is Jonathon Coulton. He also made the theme song for the popular tv show that aired on G4 "Code Monkeys". He's written a bunch of songs and I give him credit as an artist for making these amazing songs, like "Tom Cruise Crazy" and "Octopus". Love the song "Still Alive" and I loved the game Portal but u should give credit to who wrote the song. Or maybe who sang it. I doubt Coulton cares if he gets the credit for the song or not (over the internet), as at the end of the day the song is effectively "sung" by a character in the game. Although on The Orange Box OST Coulton has his own version of the song, and even played "Still Alive" using Rock Band at a gig.Lil_Hank93 said:

Perhaps because I never heard it before it appeared in Rock Band... and then didn't play it for a couple of months after that 'cos the game wasn't out here at the time. I never actually got around to playing Portal until the expanded version came out on Xbox Live Arcade which was, uh, October or something. I did download it from iTunes in the meantime, so it's not like I haven't heard it... perhaps it's just resistant to being played out.
I'm on the fence, here. Coulton's Still Alive is characteristically awesome and witty, but Mirror's Edge has a much deeper quality to it that I particularly enjoy. I'm going to say that I enjoy both for separate reasons.
