Baonec = Black.Angel.Of.Never.Ending.Chaos
I've already explained this before in an identical thread though also I was a little younger when I created it so the incorrectivness is due to that.

Sargent Toughie is an inside joke between me and my step brother

and it sounds rather cool... so it's my username for pretty much everything

Sombra Negra is a reasonably unique name, which I discovered on one of my treks into the barren wasteland that we call the Internet. It's the name of a Central American vigilante gang which is major opposition to MS13. It means black shadow, and, to put it simply, seemed like a pretty badass name. Very few people seem to register their names as it too, so I don't have to tack my birth-year on at the end.

I've changed mine many times over the years, following obsessions with Egyptian mythology, ancient mythology in what is now the UK (often called 'Celtic' by the stupid), Japanese mythology et al.

Nerdfury is my current (and hopefully last) screen name. It comes from my two favourite creators - Jim Butcher (author of The Dresden Files book series) and Joss Whedon (of Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Dr. Horrible fame) who have both used the phrase once or twice in interviews when people were all YOU DID WHAT TO MY FAVOURITE SERIES/CHARACTER RARRRRR at them.

I got mine when I saw a really cool animation at an animation festival in Ottawa. The film was called Doxology and it was an animation of the film maker dancing with a car and hitting a tennis ball into space. So I took out an "o" and added a "c" to be original and I got doxcology.

My real name is "Wes" and about four years ago I noticed that if I put a "Z" on it and made it backwards, it was Zew. It went well with the crazy person I was back then so I slapped a "darth" on it and that was that. It's my username everywhere now.

Mine comes from my old runescape account, Sir drakmorg, minus the sir, but it's been so very long since I made that account that I can't even remember where I came up with the name. I've been using the name or a derivative of it for all my online accounts. Luckily no one else has thought of this name and I've been able to avoid putting unnecessary numbers at the end for a good 6-7 years now.

This one... I go with the popular theory that I needed a username, started looking through the Dictionary , go to the first page, decided, "Bugger it" and picked the first decent sized one.

My Live ID is Dudeosaurus Rex. King of the Awesome Lizards. I put it to popular vote and the masses said it was better than Tyrannosaurus Dude.

Mine was originally "dota_dyslexia" which was chosen during a dota game *shock* on a night where I was playing particularly bad. People thought it was funny so it carried on and became my online name, however in other games/forums it wasn't a really relevant or funny, so it got shortend to just "dyslexia". Nobody ever bothered typing/saying dyslexia, so it again got shortened, this time to "dys". Tends to be fairly unique so I have no problems getting my name on forums :)

I was playing Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal, and I had found the Insomniac Museum. Inside there was a graphic of a blue alien with a giant fist, and when you walked up to it, the text "All hail Mister Fister!" appeared. Back then, my username was Superlink00, but I got bored of it, so I changed it to Mr. Fister. Haven't looked back, since.

Mine's not very creative, but I just decided to name myself after my favorite video game character of all time, Vivi Orunitia from Final Fantasy IX. He is the only video game character my heart has really gone out to; he constantly searches for who or what he is; was he created or born, is he even alive?
Vivi Orunitia- Sorrow "How do you prove that you exist...? Maybe we don't exist..."

Its Japanese. Its not been used for anything and its only a loose translation "ha" meaning blade, "ga" meaning moth, and the "ya" is just a suffix tacked on for neatness. As you may have guessed, it means essentially a killer moth. Contradictory a little bit but funny. It stuck as people didn't question what it meant or ask if i knew what it meant.

There are a few bits of story that play out into my username that I attempt to use every chance I get.
1. I always end up wanting to be on both sides of any conflict considering that most of the time they both have good reasons to be fighting the opposition. If not that then its good to know that you can always back out and join up with the other side.
2. Somewhere before the year 2006 when I had not yet discovered The Escapist I was playing Halo PC and got incredibly involved into it, to the point of memorizing any thing about it I could(I can see how that helped me now),and it led to me just trying out a load of nicknames. I started out with the online persona of Gunman57. Eventually I moved on to Mercenary57 due it rolling off the tounge more easily and that you should see number 1.
3. At some point in life I remembered seeing a picture of a group of mercenaries with all sorts of tricked out goodies. It was at a young age so you can imagine what I thought about it(SO COOL!)and it impressed what Yatzhee has stated before in Army of Two's review about the image of mercenaries(unstoppable bad asses).
4. 13,and 70 are my lucky numbers. So naturally when I pit the two against each other it would equal 57 and that is my favorite number for various reasons also. Your caught in a random conversation and you need to make up a statistic. What should you say if you happen to not know a statistic? Say 57. This worked and still works to this very day.

This is basically my tag's story. There are a few more details(like why I misspelled it personally) but I'd rather have people ask me that personally.

I choose my name because the word "vanguard" means "the spearhead of a military force", and that describes my habits in online games almost to the letter.
