New releases: Gamestop

Everything else: Whoever has it, which is never Gamestop, since all they ever have new is new releases. Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and K-Mart are the best bets. Amazon if it's something stores just don't seem to carry anymore.

I buy mine from Amazon. They generally have the best prices. Though I like to go around stores and find good deals on games.

For example, I really hate buying gamres over £20 (uh, $30?)

Various, i always check prices, pre order bonuses, all that jazz.
Though overall, i mostly buy my games at Game Mania (Dutch crappy answer to Gamestop).

Wal-Mart mostly but if it is a major game like say Gears of War 3, I'll pre-order it through either Gamestop or the Game X-Change downtown.

New games I buy from GAME, 'cos of my reward card.

Anything else, I'll buy from other users on Amazon or Play.

Mostly Walmart cause I like paying the minimal amount for a new game. Sometimes Best Buy if they have a good sale going on. And Gamestop about once every five years with trade-ins. I do shop pretty much everywhere though and buy a good amount of stuff, especially gifts for other people, on clearance. Every once in awhile I will find a really good game on Target's clearance rack for under $5. Bought EndWar Collectors Edition for under $7 there, not cause I gave a rat's ass about the game, but because it came with the $50 Sony bluetooth headset. Ended up selling the game for $10, keeping the headset.

GameStop, BestBuy and Wal-Mart for the current gen games.

If i'm going for games from the NES, SNES and Genesis era i go to BuyBacks, Allied Record Exchange,
Video Game Underground and Replay.

Usually Gamestop, if only because I'm really good friends with the workers so they give me free swag occasionally. Otherwise, I kip over to whoever but Gamestop is usually my go-to.

New games, either CEX, when they stock a new game anyway, or GAME mainly for the Reward Points which gives you money off when you get enough points.

Second hand/cheap games, always CEX. Always.

I buy mine from the place I can get them cheapest. If its a tie between all retailers, GAME because of their reward card system.

Really? Which Gamestop? The one near me sells almost all used, they don't have a very big "new" rack.
Any Gamestop, really. And I typically ignore their "new" rack anyway, because like 85% of those games will only have gutted display copies, which aren't "new" and which I refuse to buy.

Which sucks, because there's usually a couple older gems there. Problem is you know they're only still in stock because the copy they have is wrecked.

I buy new releases there because of locational convenience: it's walking distance from where I work, so I go during my lunch break. Also, pre-ordering guarantees they're not going to try to hand me a gutted copy.

Once a game's been out for a little while, I just don't bother checking Gamestop.

Steam almost exclusively. There are a few like Dawn of War II that I like to have physical copies of that I buy on whatever site has it for the cheapest. Often sites that most have never heard of before.
