Gamestop and Steam almost exclusively (except 1 or 2 things I could only find on GOG). I rarely buy used games and never pre-order.

For PC that's Steam, almost always. When it comes to consoles I go with various web stores, and I must admit that Game often ranks high on that list because they offer free shipping, fast shipping and they ship it so you'll receive it on release day. I always check around for the best price and Game doesn't always win.
I also buy some from retailers, but rarely from Gamestop. Ever since my friend got a copy of Resident Evil 5 (new with the resident evil 5 Xbox 360 bundle) and it didn't work and he never got it replaced I've avoided them. If they have a great preorder bonus I will use them though. I actuyally buy most of my games form a Norwegian electronic store because they got good prices.

A Swedish shop called Webhallen. They've got lower prices than the local Gamestop, so it's great.

shocking you dont at least have a "Digital Distributor" option if not straight up STEAM :p

cause i use Steam.

and Gamestop if i ever pick up a console game again. Which is becoming less and less likely. Nothing of interest is coming out on that platform :(

The place were I work actually, always pretty cheap, Game On is good too, CeX or GAME. There's never one place that I stick to... Hell, I've even dabbled with eBay to get the really hard to find games.

From a store, duh.

OT: It depends on who has the better deals. Even for new releases, some stores come with certain pre-order specials that others don't. So I look around for one that I like most.

Steam for the most part. I own a console, but that varies depending on what I want and cost- usually Walmart or Sam's club, though occasionally Gamestop.

Either from this local chain called Gamebuzz or, when I want the snazzy pre-order/in store bonuses, Gamestop (Or rather, EB games where I'm at). On the rare occasion when my dad shells out cash for my brother or I, he uses his credit at Futureshop. Those three places are pretty much it.
