I buy games it different stores. Usually at either an entertainment and electronics chain we have here, or at GAME. Although I've recently come to the conclusion that buying from Amazon ends up being quite cheaper, most of the time.

Steam, Best Buy, and GOG.com

Gamestop rarely, when there simply is no other option for a used title.

Steam or shopto.net and game.co.uk . Decent prices (most of the time) and reasonable delivery time outweigh somewhat poor stock.
Save a LOT of money that way since games here cost more than $100.

Normally, I buy new games at GameStop. For some older games, I usually check out Dimple Records.

Usually Amazon for pre-orders. Sometimes Steam if they're having a sale on something I want. Sometimes a local shop.

I go to target when I don't have to sell one game to afford another, otherwise gamestop.

I know gamestop (or eb games where I live) gets some hate, but I once worked there and it now has a soft spot in my heart. Not to mention I get to see my old coworkers if I buy games there.

Then again, I also buy from Steam.

Other:
GAME or other high-street retailers where possible, though the price difference over online goods is sometimes a factor.. which pushes me to use Impulse instead.

'Avoid Steam wherever possible, since Impulse got big enough to be able to have most everything Steam does and insist all their own products be DRM free, and everything else run without needing their client >.>

I wish I'd adopted that policy before buying Recettear, though. And I wish Impulse would hurry and implement their overlay in non-Impulse games, too - it has a couple of flaws, but it's really nice.

I go to the better Gamestop in my town. I know most of the employees. Also there are two Gamestops in my town's mall.

Gamestop, unfortunately.
There aren't any other game stores in town so I'm forced to go there.

And I don't have a credit card, so Amazon's pretty much out despite me liking them the best >>

It used to be at Best Buy or FutureShop but now I pass directly by a GameStop every single day on my way home from school. So if I have a game in mind (I never go out of my way to just shop around) I'll head on in and buy the game I want or even pre-order the game in question.

I've never used Amazon in my life. And I don't trust eBay after buying a PSP on there only to find out that it didn't work and through some loophole the guy I bought it from wasn't responsible for it.
