My post count should give it away, but I spend most my time with 'official' Escapist content occasionally posting in the comments. I do a lot more lurking than actual posting. This is probably the first time I've even bothered to look at the forum part of the Escapist.
I suppose I just don't have the desire to get too involved in the community. I recognise some avatars in the featured content comments sections, but know little to nothing about the people.

Frankly, most of my ventures into the forum end with streams of bullshit and a new list of people for me to hate.

I like the majority in your poll favor Off-Topic discussions. I usually click whatever I find most interesting in the recent posts and then go from there.
Gaming Discussion is the vast majority, probably like 70%. Off-Topic follows, then User Reviews. I don't think I've ever posted in Religion and Politics, Forum Games, or in any user group.
I came to these forums because I like games and none of my friends are gamers. So this is pretty much the only place I can discuss these things. This is why my posts skew so heavily towards one forum section.

I've never been on the forum list page. I just refresh the generator with the most recent posts and click up stuff that seem intresting.
I guess I'm mainly in off-topic though, closely followed by gaming discussion.

Featured content for me. I guess I've approached the Escapist like an online magazine from the start -- it's how I was drawn to the site.
Although lately I feel like the content has slipped quite a bit -- I'm missing shows like ENN and Top 5 with Lisa Foyles on here. Perhaps interestingly that means I'm missing some of the strong female personalities that used to be on the site. I feel like that used to set the site apart from other online gaming communities.

I always initially look to the Gaming Discussion for something interesting to talk about. However, most of the time the discussion value disappears after a while. :3
That's when I foray into the Off-Topic forum's random antics. Fun there too.
I ventured into the Politics and Religion forum once. I don't plan on going back anytime soon...
Oh and on occasion I'll post in a forum game if it's one of the simple ones.

Indeed they are but I never got into it nearly as much as the forums. I dunno, it just seems cramped and small in comparison. o.oTimeLord said:
Generally I keep it to off-topic, but I'll stop by the Gaming forum regularly. I'll hit the advice forum maybe once or twice a week. I stay away from the religion and politics because it's more of an argument over there than a discussion. Also, people in that forum misuse data.
