Poll: Where to meet gamer girls.

I think I've only ever met one girl online in Burnout Revenge. Live seems to be heavily lacking in the female variety.
As to where to meet them, umm....LAN parties?
I don't really know. The only time I ever met a gamer girl in real life, it didn't end too well (huge xbox fangirl)...

Met some on L4D, but most of them (you guessed it) when I still played WoW, some became pretty good friends. I also met some last year, when I was doing a Bachelor in Bio-Informatics. Ofcourse that's Nerds United, and it did include a fair number a girls, most of wich also gamed (like most people there actually, it was awesome).

Play table-top and live-action RPG's, especially role-play heavy ones like Vampire the Masquerade.

Of equal importance, play said games with PEOPLE AT GAME STORES YOU DON'T KNOW.

If you succeed in gaining entry into new circles of gamer friends there will be girls there, I guarantee it.

Not to stereotype, but I've met a bunch of nice girls over WoW, some of which have become my good friends, and one of whom is my absolute best friend.

Pretty much.

I met 3 girls (under 18) and one older woman (35?) in Guild Wars. Playing PvP.

They were very nice and all.

That's not counting English-speaking gals, of course... Only from my country.

conventions, video game stores, i go to a place out here called GMI Games where they do Magic tournaments every Friday night. Fridays when i'm not working thats where you find me. My boy actually got me into it. heaven forbid try an arcade too while you're at it. or a movie theatre(they usually have arcades as well same with bowling alleys). Trust me, you meet gamer girls EVERYWHERE. Strike up a conversation with a girl and see how many of them are into games. (this coming from a girl)

back when i played WoW i got a week of no strings attached sex with a hot gamer girl after finding out she lived five minutes away from where i was staying on holiday.

just go wherever gamers go. conventions, net cafes, etc.
im thinking about getting a job at a video game shop to as an attempt to meet chicks.
i havnt met a single chick as a game designer or a mech engineer so if you want to find a chick on the job, these probably arent the jobs for you.

Ignore those who suggest game stores, thats just silly. You will meet many different people in life at college, uni and conventions. Girl gamers are not rare, but please, there is more to life than gaming. Just because a girl shares a hobby it does not mean you will get along with her.

well depending where you go, some game stores are filled with girls, others aren't i think its more geographical area and what there is to do and how much they like being out.

Sorry, most girls that use the net do so to check what their boyfriends are up to on myspace/facebook etc. or to flick their bean over some painfully shite Anne Rice/Twilight fan-fiction.

If you want some genuine advice on meeting gamer girls however, just check out your local video game shop with a pocket full of roses, a smile and your mum happily left at home.
