Which of these consoles should i buy?

I really want one. Especially to play that Monster Hunter game.

Which one is better?
And please tell me why.

Monster hunter 3 is on Wii, and is possibly the ONLY reason at all for me to ever buy a Wii.
So, it's up to you, ultimately.

PC upgrade is cheaper and a far better gaming platform. Hell, over a 5 year period, a new computer is cheaper. Definately work on the computer.

XBL is a better service(you get what you pay for), and my friends own 360s.

That is very, very dependant on where you are. I have both a ps3 and an xbox 360, and PSN runs at near fullspeed (downloads etc, I've not games on it...Like you I just got a shuny new ps3) compared to the xbox 360 which takes several whours to download several hundred mb and regularly drops me out from online games (to the point where I've veto'd it because it's such a poor service).

I originally got a 360 cos of the lower price point and the fact it came out way sooner than the PS3. Neither of those are really an issue anymore so flip a coin. The one thing I will say (and is the reason I haven't gotten a PS3... yet) is that you'd want to have a HDTV to get the most out of the Blu-Ray discs. I think the exclusive titles pretty much balance each other out and all my favourite games i.e. DMC4,FFXIII,Tekken have gone multiplatform so I was delighted. If not for those games coming out on 360 I'd have already gotten a PS3. Probably still will because Blu-Ray has a lot of potential that has so far only been tapped by MGS4.

But yeah, I vote for PS3. Second option being the 360.

*EDIT* PS3 because the internet is free, it has better exclusives, and generally seems to cost a lot less in the long run. That, and no RRoD.

RRoD is under a 3 year warranty, if you do get the red rings after that I'd say the next gereration would be close to release if not already.

360 hands down. I own all three, and I can say without a doubt that the 360 is the best. Not only is it cheaper, it has way more good games than either the wii or ps3. Sure, LIVE does cost money, but it's totally worth it.

Agreed, XBL is worth the money.

I have all three and none of them beat my PS2 for sheer fun. I lose myself for hours playing FFXII downwards and SSX3 to name but 7. But really, my thoughts of this generation are:

It really was genuinely disappointing. If anything I use the 360 and ps3 in equal amounts and the wii when my 360 breaks so that i have a substitute for GH (albeit without DLC)
But come on mate. Don't buy a console this time round. Stick to PC. Consoles have messed up this year, big time.

If you absolutely have to, then tell me. Do you care about no-one having a mic? If not then PS3, if yes then 360.

That's what I was thinking when I was shopping for a console.

I was ready to move on from Sony (as I used to shop at LikSang) but with the rroding 360s, I found myself buying a ps3.
After a couple of years, I'd say I'm well satisfied. I still feel like smacking sony execs and marketing bozos whenever they say anything but at least the machine works and I don't have to pay for online.
