Poll: Which do you like? Gears of War, Call of Duty, or Halo?

Well, I don't think any of them are any good without online play, especially Halo and GOW. At least COD 4 had a good storyline, but then COD 5 managed to fuck that element up. In all seriousness though, GOW < Halo < COD in my opinion.

Only things missing on this list is GTA IV and the newest editon of Madden and we have the most stereotypical game collection for 360 owners, good job.

Is that such a bad thing?

i love halo and call of duty ( espisalty the new nazi zombie map in map pack one) gears is good and i have played the first and second one but it dosent have the appeal of the other games and i don't know why.i can't convice myself to hate it. but i dont like the dull gothic look to it at all.

Halo's my favourite series of the three, but I enjoy all of them to some degree or another. (Well, save that I haven't picked up World at War, because I've been burned out on WW2 shooters for years and am not looking for another one.)

Gears 2 is the only 360 title I would even begin to consider buying a 360 for.

Yeah that game is sick. I beat it in 6 hours.

Seriously though, out of the 3 I'd have to say CoD (excluding WaW). It's just more fun to me, Gears is too obnoxiously macho and I never really got into the Halo games. I'd rather play HL2, L4D or Portal though.

Definitely CoD for me, especially as a series. Halo was always to "pizz-pow" (as in too many lasers and colourful effects) for me, although I completely concede how important it was. GoW is great but ultimately quite shallow and like "Hexadecimal" said above me, obnoxiously macho.

Tough choice between Halo and CoD (don't like Gears at all really), but then I remembered about the crack addictions that are Unreal Tournament 3 (just got the Titan Pack, finally put onto the PS Store) and Half-Life 2.

I like Half Life 2. And TF2. They might not be perfect, but I like 'em.

Agreed. But I'm also married to cod4... And when MW2 comes out, we're gonna elope as well. I just wish they would update TF2 for the 360, then I'd be set that TF2 was my fave console shooter...

Call of Duty fan, here.

Halo's multiplayer just isn't fun. Honestly, no game is actually all that fun when you have to mash the triggers and keep the aiming reticule on your opponent for about five solid seconds. It's like an extremely iffy channeled spell in WoW.

As far as Gears of War goes: just really not that interested in its multiplayer.

Of course, Treyarch managed to royally fuck up the awesome multiplayer balance that was in COD4. Matchmaking sucks (three max-prestiged players on the other team in MTDM, while your team's best players have just barely managed to break fifty for the first time. Also, they made the MP-40, DP-28 and PPSh-41 into weapons powerful enough to kill a god.
