Point number two - No offence, but you can't have read the books very carefully if you think that.
Her training at the House of Black and White to become a Faceless Man is all kinds of badass.
OT: Jaime Lannister's character progression is, for me, one of the most interesting in the series so I'll place my vote there. Davos Seaworth gets a mention here too, and I'm eager to see where Griff's story goes as well.
You expressed a desire to see Arya as an older badass, my point was that no time skip is required for that. Why should she need to be twenty-something before anything interesting happens to her? Yeah she's still a sprog, but she's learning to be an assassin - what more could you want?
I apologise if my message came across as confrontational, it was intended as polite inquiry.
well, this is how I see it. Either she finishes her training, which will take years and keep her out of the main plot of Game of thrones.Unless again we get that time skip, which I find unlikely at this point. Or, she'll find 'herself' again and return to Winteros with unfinished training, making her slightly more useful but not anything threatening yet. I'm sure she'll be the same mini badass, but I just wish to see her-I don't know as more than a little girl with a needle, playing a role in the final battle.
I see where you're coming from fella, and I agree that as a combatant she would be next to useless. But I reckon that's not the role she'll play. I kind of see her almost reprising the roles she played earlier like Nan the page, working unsuspected near the major players far away from any battlefield - but whereas Nan was unable to retaliate against her captors a trained up Arya, even a half-trained up Arya, will be able to exact the revenge she's been planning all along. Think Natalie Portman in Leon working as one of Varys' Little Birds, but with a knife.
That's how I see it unfurling anyway. In a bizarre way I've got my fingers crossed that I'm wrong, so that whatever happens comes as a surprise.
