....What? I think you should really re-read that post of your's I quoted. You said "you never did care for starcraft" and then go on to say there has never been a good RTS. You just called every RTS a starcraft clone, and then call out ME for not respecting your opinion? You were stating your opinion as fact, mate. Though I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and just chalk it up to poor wording.Sober Thal said:Sarcasm incoming = Nope, I never knew there where other RTS games besides Starcraft. I don't believe you : PGrey_Focks said:...because you're not a fan. As an RTS fan, I can safely say there are PLENTY of good RTS out there. You are aware there are more RTS in existence than Starcraft, right?Sober Thal said:RTS
They have only had one good series, Civilization. I never did care for starcraft.
EDIT: Civilization was turn based, never mind, there has never been a good RTS.
Sorry I don't agree with you, there are more good MMO games than RTS. That is my opinion, and you can't prove my opinion is wrong to me, right?
I respect your opinion tho, and will say (as I stated in another post in this thread) 40k games are fucking awesome! I should probably mention that in my first post....
Oh well, RTS isn't for everyone. Though I must admit, it hasn't really changed at all in the past years. But I wonder, how could it? For me it isn't that bad.Sober Thal said:Ah yes, 40k is damn good. Nice call on that one.Blue Musician said:That includes the Total War games, the Warhammer series, Age of Mythology, Age of Empires 2, World in Conflict, Homeworld, etc, etc, etc?Sober Thal said:RTS

OT: I never liked racing games to be honest.
But still, I can name more than one game/series from any other genre that I liked. For racing games, Burnout 2 was good fun, Forza and Project Gotham were good ones too.
One game in the genre doesn't make me change my mind. Since the thread is about having to pick, I still pick you RTS.
Ah, yes, Bloodlines. One of my favorite games. Did you try also Escape from Butcher Bay? I really liked that game, for me one of the best licensed if not the best one around. Also, Vampire was based on a pen and paper RPG right? Wouldn't WH40K also be on the list?AgentBJ09 said:Licensed Games -
The only good ones in this category I have played are...
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
Like I said, "...I have played." The ones you mentioned I have not.Blue Musician said:Ah, yes, Bloodlines. One of my favorite games. Did you try also Escape from Butcher Bay? I was kind of taking it as which genre has the lowest lows, rather than which genre has no redeeming qualities. At least that's how I gave my answer on here before...tony2077 said:i can't really say anything other then the people who answer this make me sick there is gems good games and crap in all genres
To be fair what I have seen of them is incredibly poorly written and everyone really does look like they dress in the darkest cave in the universe and close their eyes when they shop for new clothes too. They also all seem to have the same combat system I find incredibly dull. Select the most powerful attack I have that works with the asshole of the hour's weakness, and repeat until I run out of Mana, in which case use a potion and start again. And if I really want to get tactical, use one guy exclusively for healing. This works with with all CRPGs I've ever played too, except you just constantly spam all your abilities. Not all of them fall into this obviously, such as Valkyria Chronicles which seems kind of Wormsish minus the humor (not that I'll ever know, I don't have a PS3).Steppin Razor said:Which genre has the worst games? Point-and-click adventure games. Seriously, go to your local store that sells PC games and take a look to see if you can find some of the horrendously bad games. For every Sam & Max there are at least 15 Big Rigs equivalents.
Don't question it, you'll just get confused. Besides, I'm about 90% certain that most of the people saying JRPGs have only ever played one or two FF games and watched some Yahtzee videos.Durxom said:Wait...=S...So we have a thread almost every other day either complaining about there being too many shooters, the lack of good shooters, the fact that everyone is trying to copy and go with the bland "realistic" war shooter that again everyone complains about, and then somehow the most said thing in a worse genre discussion is JRPG?.........what?
Going to assume you missed the 3 and put a 2, because what 2 learned from in 1 and improved on, 3 did away with presumably because Molyneux doesn't really understand why his games sell. If in fact you did mean 2 then I guess I proved that we don't in fact all acknowledge it as crap.IamSofaKingRaw said:I find this an interesting topic. We all can acknowledge that terrible games have come out over the years *coughfable2cough*...excuse me.
