I want the fuck out of this hellhole. If mods won't fucking delete my fucking cunted account, then maybe gunning for a ban by acting like a complete **** for days and weeks and making this site even less enjoyable than it already is MIGHT JUST CLUE THEM IN TO WHY MY REQUEST IS FUCKING REASONABLE. I HAVE A SEVERE MENTAL ILLNESS THAT DOES NOT COPE WELL WITH FUCKHEADED MODS, AND THIS PLACE HAS FUCKHEADS FOR MODS. SO FUCKING DELETE MY ACCOUNT ALREADY YOU STUPID CUNTS!!!

PM a mod if you want to be banned, it's faster and more effective than turning on Caps Lock and running into a random thread.

Don't do it mods... or whatever. Keeping him here will be the ULTIMATE PUNISHMENT. Bwahahahahahahahaaa!

Oh, and Albus Dumbledore. It was lengthened and gave you a moment to be sad; Lupin and Tonks should have been sadder but it was just a quick scene and then it was done.

Harry Potter series deserves some kind of Academy Award, a special one just for them. First movie I've been in when people cheered!

Especially when Belatrix was Zapped! hehehehehehe

*Shocked face... Shattered... Cheers!*

It was the first major death of a well loved character and the line Sirius says just before he is murdered by Bellatrix Lestrange, "Nice one, James!" is really sad as it shows his friendship with James and his affection for Harry.
Well, partially. It shows his affection for James and it pretty much demonstrates what Hermione was saying: Sirius was trying to relive his youth through Harry.

Insufferable know-it-all she might be, but I'd want her in my corner.

I do have to go with Sirius, though. It was the first major death of the sort, I liked the character, and those combined made it a bigger splash for me. Dumbledore's death felt more like it was necessary and something that was being built up to (in retrospect), so I wasn't as surprised.

Snape might've made it for me, but I have a similar gripe. I don't mind that he was good all along. I suspected he was on Dumbledore's side from books 1-6, but a complete bastard. And that's fine. Not all good guys are good. I didn't like the bull about him being such a delicate widdle torchurd sowl.

Would someone kindly escort the gentleman from the building...

Edit: That comment was quite dickish. You may actually have genuine problems. I'm sorry.
All good mate. Already asked to kindly be escorted from the building, and that was after asking them to kindly deal with my moderater issues. Seemed easier to make my point in easily reportable fasion.
Sad the lengths we have to go to to get attention sometimes...
Hope everything works out.

Depends, in the books, Fred Weasley. In the films Lavender Brown, since all it shows is her dead on the floor by a Death Eater and she is never mentioned again, that makes me sad.

Sirius. Because I stopped caring by book 6, because 6 & 7 were drivel. Especially compared to 1-5.

Snape

Being a countermole is a hell of a job. Not only are you betraying people who you get to trust you, but you may end up having to do horrible things to the people you're trying to protect in order to do more good later on. Also, if they found out you were just a mole and not a countermole, the people you're risking your life for would hate your guts and probably want to kill you until they found out the truth. That's one hell of a cross to bear, and dying before people found out the whole truth would make it that much worse.

Probably Sirius. That was the start of the whole 'gloves are off, characters can die now' thing (Cedric doesn't count. No-one cares), and he was a fairly tragic character to begin with.

Dumbledore's death probably had the least effect of those mentioned - it looked like self-sacrifice even the first time I read it, and had been heavily foreshadowed throughout the book.

Hard to choose between Fred and Snape.
Their deaths seemed so hard on the people around them...

Oh, and Hedwig. That poor thing. D;

Same, she seemed like the least likely character to be killed off.
Suddenly she shows up dead, her corpse being eaten. My god.

I chose Sirius, because he seemed like a really interesting character. After the 3rd book, I was wondering what would happen if Harry could live with him and if he would play a bigger role later on. Pretty much the only thing that happened to him was keeping him hidden from everyone and in the background, then kill him off before he could really do much.

My close second was Lupin, because he was such a cool teacher. He was mature, but seemed like a fun kid to hang around with and cheer you up. Him and Tonks being killed just seemed like J.K. just put up a dart board with names on them and killed off whoever the darts hit.

I totally agree. I felt really sh*tty after reading all the books thinking that Snape is just an enormous dick for no reason, only to find out that he was secretly the real hero the entire time.

OP: I was pretty shocked when Colin died. True he was the most annoying character, but it was really jarring.

But the biggest one for me was Fred. The twins were my favorite characters, and one of them just gets straight up murdered. What makes it worse is trying to imagine what life will be like for George. He and Fred were basically one entity. He'll spend the rest of his life with the constant reminder that he survived and his counterpart didn't. I kinda wish they went more into what became of him in the epilogue. What happened to their store? How did it change him? Is he still the joking, silly, clown, or has he abandoned that since Fred's death?

Lupin. He was simply my favourite character, I love me a badass bookworm (look it up on tvtropes. If you have four hours).

see, that's the thing that made it cruel to me. My favourite damn character and you gave him a quick "oh, he didn't make it"? Are you f***ing kidding me Rowling? Get back here and give him a more badass death you heartbreaking b****!!!

It's a book series, none of them did. Though the Owl particularly seemed pointless, as did most of the ones in the last book.

Snape.

Talk about someone who's had a bad lot in life. Constantly tormented in school by the boyfriend of your best friend/unrequited love, being partly responsible for the murder of said love, going deep undercover into the regime of the most powerful madman who ever lived, having to kill the only person who knows that you are a good guy, having to stand idly by while colleagues and students are tortured and killed...perhaps the most tragic thing is that he died at best not knowing whether or not Harry could succeed, at worst thinking that Voldemort had won.

By the time his full backstory was revealed, he was my favorite character. "Probably the bravest man I ever knew", indeed.

Sirius' death was really big. I hated how he died but the thing is, that wasn't the one. Snape had a bad death too, especially after Harry goes through his memories in the pensive (had a few sniffles honestly).

No, the death that effected me the worst was Dobby. In the book, in the theater, BAM! That fucking elf fucking dying made me freaking bawl. Bawl I tell you! He died a free elf though and died a very heroic death.
