I'm sick of this argument. Everyone has their own opinion, but both are good in different ways. Personally, I like the PS3, but thats because I'm skint and my parents pay for the internet connection.
I know what you are going to say, that you don't use debit or credit cards online, but you wouldn't have to buy 1000 and have some leftover if you bought points online.Skopintsev said:Snip
Well they could allow it after that 5 dollar amount.666Chaos said:I can understand the reasoning behind them not allowing you to buy points in tiny amounts such as $1. This is because of credit card charges, pretty much any purchase under $5 the credit card charges are far to high for it to be profitable.Sonic Doctor said:The one thing I wish they would do make it so I could just by points in 80 point increments. You look at the make up of how much points cost 80 points is a dollar. I wish I could move a little counter and just by the dollar amount I want.
I wouldn't know since I don't have a PS3, but is 15 a month what PSN+ costs.icyneesan said:Depends on what you wanna do. If you just wanna play your video games online then you can't go wrong with PS3 since its free. But if you actually care for all that extra stuff Xbox Live offers, then I guess you can't really beat Xbox live.
Personally I prefer PS3 because its free. Compared to how much I play games online on my PC, I rarely play games online on my ps3. And paying $15 per month for something I don't use very much is kind of stupid.
Its $49.99 ($4 a month) for PSN plus for 1 year, or $17.99 ($6 a month) for 3 months. You get access to free games (as long as you stay a active subscriber), 'huge' discounts on select games, dlc and other content available on the PSN, early access to demos and betas, full game trials (1 hour), and online storage for saves.Sonic Doctor said:I wouldn't know since I don't have a PS3, but is 15 a month what PSN+ costs.icyneesan said:Depends on what you wanna do. Because Xbox Live costs 60 dollars for a year(the better deal because it costs 5 bucks a month). Now if you buy just a month it is 10 dollars.
But still 10 dollars a month for everything is better than 15 for some extra stuff other than online play.
Oh thank christ they stopped doing that shit. Now you buy points in increments of 400, 800, 1600, and so on. No more of that side-carnival economics bullshit.Skopintsev said:Well, tbh I don't know. When I had a 360 I had a different slower ISP so I have trouble connecting to my buddy 3 streets down, yet no trouble connecting to my other friend in New Brunswick. Last year when I bought a PS3 and also moved out I have a different ISP never a problem connecting to anything.
I will say that the PSN Store is much more organized and I find it much easier to find stuff.
EDIT: I would also like to say that I much prefer a real price on something rather than points. Example: Borderlands Robot Revolution - PSN Store: $9.99
- XBL Store: 800pts.
How much did I spend? 9.99 plus tax on PS3, or 1000MSpts (14.99) now I have 200 pts left over and I still have to pay more if I want something else!

What about you then friends? Which do you think has the better online?
Then what was that 15 dollars a month you were talking about? I also saw somebody else say 15 a month as well. Because the only thing I have encountered online that is 15 bucks a month are MMOs.icyneesan said:Its $49.99 ($4 a month) for PSN plus for 1 year, or $17.99 ($6 a month) for 3 months. That being said, I'd only really make use of the free stuff, and the discounts on games/DLC. Though I suppose the early access stuff would be nice if they're doing a game you care for.
