I play the clarinet and both kinds of keyboard ;)
Ooooh, I took Clarinet lessons for about 5 or 6 years. Never learned much though, became seriously bored with it.

Picked up an Alto Sax instead, enjoying it a lot more (and it's so much easier o_O), that was less than a year ago though. Never been much of a musician, and I don't practice too often (few times a week), hopefully in a couple of years I'll play decently ^^
Really? I've been doing it for 5 years and am a grade 4 :D

(the 1st year was shared lessons)
Heh, over here we weren't allowed to start taking lessons until we were in third grade :p

The problem I had with the clarinet at an early age was that after I quit the school orchestra there really wasn't much to play on it. Basically just blues/jazz and back then I really didn't like jazz. So i stopped practicing for quite a while. Last year I decided to pick up music again, decided that I might as well start fresh.

Since I started playing saxophone though I've learned to like jazz a lot more, it's awesome to play ^^

Still, fun to see someone who plays a somewhat more "odd" instrument, and clarinet sounds really neat when you know how to play it.

Why is it that everyone misunderstands me????

I mean grades, [http://www.trinitycollege.co.uk/site/?id=1044] not grades [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Educational_stages].

I am in year 9/10, which in America is grade 8/9.
Thought it sounded kinda strange >,<

Probably has to do with most people not having heard of the former one or not being familiar with the English word. Ah well, now i know.

To original poster: Go post in some threads, don't make them yet. You don't even have 10 posts and you've made (atleast) 2 threads?
Listen to this guy.

I play guitar, predictably enough.
