Poll: Which is better Family Guy, The Simpsons or Futurama?

Futurama.

Well some episodes are worse than others (like mentioned above) but generally I just love Futurama.

I'll have to say Family Guy personally. Next would be Simpsons, then last Futurama.

I go with Family Guy because I have actually LOL'd while the other two are great, and I love all three, but the last two just deliver such hilarious jokes (but still love all three, family guy is just better comedy wise)

Family Guy has stopped being funny recently. It has had its day and been pushed to the sidelines by American Dad and The Cleveland show which are both brilliant in my opinion. As for the Simpsons... C'mon! Give it a rest yeah? They've done over 400 episodes! I tried watching some of the new ones and they were just poor.

I too re-watched every episode of Futurama in preparation for the new series and it reminded me just how damn amazing it is.

They are all awesome, but I prefer The Simpsons. Anything with Mr Burns is awesome.

Hard choice.. It's a hard tie between The Simpsons and Futurama.

Futurama is better by far. The Simpsons is stale, Family Guy is just a series of disjointed, cheap laughs and the episodes barely have a coherent story. So yeah, Futurama is the better of the three. In my opinion of course.

Out of those 3, Futurama. But, Aqua Teen Hunger Force beats them all.

ATHF Movie sucked though. The show is OK. I like Futurama, but I have noticed some of the newer episodes haven't been that funny, like the DaVinci one. It was OK in the beginning,but degraded on Planet Vinci.

I've never much cared for Futurama, quite frankly. I enjoyed the Simpsons pretty much until Futurama came out. Aside from the Simpsons movie, that had me rolling in laughter (and I know a lot of Simpsons fans say it sucked, but whatever.) I personally like Family Guy more, old or new episodes doesn't really matter. Many here on Escapist that read this probably think "wow this guy is off his rocker" but that's just how I feel.

I personally find Simpsons more loveable (and fun, too).

That makes no sense. Any qualitative comparison is by definition based on a subjective consideration of the subjects' comparative quality. How else could they be judged?

OT: Futurama's science-based humour is much more on my wavelength, while retaining the social commentary aspect of the Simpsons. And Family Guy is just dismal.

They're all created for a target audience. While it is true that qualitive comparisons are based on your own opinion, the fact that it was created with a target audience in mind, makes your statement rather indefinite.
Futurama merges perfectly with the taste of most escapists, unlike yourself.

How can you say Futurama does not merge perfectly with my tastes?

Futurama is just cool cause it can have a sense of progression sometimes and they had both some very awesome and some very very touching stories (Fry and the clover always makes me glassy-eyed when I watch it).

But more realistically, Futurama is preferred cause it has less episodes. Simpsons were awesome for a lot of seasons, heck I enjoyed stuff up to S14 I believe before I got sick of them (up to S6/7 for Family Guy) and felt they ran out of ideas.

Futurama stopped at 5? seasons and now that they're continuing with season 6 you can already see they're not bustling with ideas. Let them make 4 more seasons and it'll become same the same as others - "first few seasons awesome, the rest is bollox".

Personal preference really, but as good as the three series are, family guy has gone downhill since the original team moved on, but the best animated series for me is american dad. although not everyones cup of tea, and yes due to it being seth mcfarlanes creation the characters are the same kind of thing, but its damn good fun and the comedy in it is almost unbeaten by family guy.

Simpsons haven't been fun for many seasons, Family guy are just asses and steal other peoples jokes, Futurama I haven't seen much of but it looks kinda funny so I will go with that.

Family guy is my favourite at the moment, but the simpsons has become legendary, however i think it has over run itself to much, and well futurama is epic, i hope the new episodes come out soon, but at the moment family guy still takes it for me.
