Eh. If I had nothing better to do, I'd be happy to watch either Simpsons or Futurama.

Family Guy, though, can go rot somewhere.

Family Guy wins hands down. Lets face it people, the Simpsons has died; sure, it was good for the first 9 or 10 years which is very impressive but recently, it hasn't been up to the same standards. The same goes for Futurama; it has also died since it's return.

Oh boy, I'm going to get some hate here.

Family Guy is my favorite. its just so unabashedly evil, and while South Parks evilness seems to come from just shock value, Family Guy manages to make more clear that they have planted tongue firmly in cheek. Its just so Wry, and really makes fun of the darkest pieces of peoples minds. Also, as a Robot Chicken fan, I gotta love the gags, and the pop references are masterful.

Simpson's was outdated for me for a while. It started shakily for a season or so, and turned into something top notch, if also the only game in town for adult appealing but somewhat kid friendly comedy animation. It became a cultural institution. With time, it fell toward the surreal (Pretty close to the time Family Guy rolled around), which was funny at first, but eventually became grating. It felt like a watered down Family Guy. It just had no heart, and a little heart to temper the craziness is what made Simpsos. I recently watched the most recent season, and though occasionally they seem like there trying too hard to be relevent, they are still funny, and that little seed of heart is back. So Simpsons jumps to second.

Futurama is not bad by any stretch of the imagination. I watch it regularly. But it still feels like a Simpsons spin off that's trying just a bit too hard. Feels a little forced to me. It's third place, but remember that a bronze medalist in Swimming is still a DAMN fast swimmer.

Basically, I like em all.

I can't say that I have watched any Futurama ever(omg shoot me I know)so cannot give an opinion there.

Family Guy is my favorite,"Xanadu84" said pretty much everything that I wanted to say so no point rewriting it.

The Simpsons I started watching from season 1 and shuffled a bit throughout the seasons and didn't find it funny at all,I have no idea why it is so popular.

Never really loved the Simpsons if I'm honest, and Family Guy has been getting worse for quite a while. Futurama kicks shiny metal ass.

I will say Futurama, but the recent episodes have been piss poor. Though hopefully it will pcik up again, the first two in season 6 were excellent.
What? The new episodes are awesome.
Proffesor: "It's like a comedy central channel, and we're on it." Amy: "I get it"
Oh the first two episodes were excellent, the rest are just lazy pop culture parodies where none of the story or characters have any effect on anything
Yea I'll give you that

None of them. I prefer "Lucy the daughter of the devil". Shame that it only had one season before the creator decided that he'd had enough.

The Escapist thinks Futurama, without any quality consideration.

I personally find Simpsons more loveable (and fun, too).
That makes no sense. Any qualitative comparison is by definition based on a subjective consideration of the subjects' comparative quality. How else could they be judged?

OT: Futurama's science-based humour is much more on my wavelength, while retaining the social commentary aspect of the Simpsons. And Family Guy is just dismal.
They're all created for a target audience. While it is true that qualitive comparisons are based on your own opinion, the fact that it was created with a target audience in mind, makes your statement rather indefinite.
Futurama merges perfectly with the taste of most escapists, unlike yourself.
How can you say Futurama does not merge perfectly with my tastes?
Oops. Didn't see what your comments on Futurama. My apologies.
