I'd say the first three Star Trek films. Yes, the first one was just special effects the whole movie and the third was lackluster at best, but Wrath of Khan can support a trilogy all by itself.

There's eleven. However, there are four good ones and one okay one, so there are only five. This is what's called active denial. It's why Highlander 2 and Devil May Cry 2 never happened. There was no DMC 2, DMC 3 was supposed to be 2, but they put the wrong number on the box.

Also best movie trilogy=Back to the Future or The Dollares or whatvever name they be giving to it these days.

The Crystal Skull fuck came alot later than the original 3 Indiana films so we can say it doesn't belong and Star Wars had an original trilogy and a prequal trilogy, so pick one.

Also Back to the Future has as much chance of being the best as the Jurassic Park or the Matrix trilogy. All of them had a great first movie, then an average second movie and then followed by a crappy 3rd movie.

My vote goes the LOTR trilogy. The Star Wars trilogy is alot more famous and had more famous music but I don't find it as entertaining.

I would vote for 'Hitchhickers Guide to the Galaxy' as THE trilogy if i can include books.

Yes you can say it belongs. Its the same thing as saying The GodFather 3 doesn't belong cause it came years after the second one.

And there is no Original Trilogoy or Prequel you only use those terms when comparing one to another. Its a 6 part Saga.
