I want to see them use the valeyard aka 13th doctor as a villain in the new series, the idea is that hes the culmination of every violent/genocidal/evil act the doctor had to perform for good in his last 12th incarnations. He fear dying because he has got no regenerations left and is trying to manipulate the earlier versions of himself to further his desires.

David Tennant won my vote over Christopher Eccleston (who was good too) when, in the first episode he was really in (the little bit at the end doesn't count), he had this licking-lips twitch thing. It reminded me of another character he had recently played (Barty Crouch Jr. from Harry Potter 4), and creeped me out to no end. I like how he was more cheerful than Eccleston's Doctor, so the moments of anguish really stood out.

How did this McGann clown get so many fans? I'm surprised to see Pertwee and Baker, my two favorite Doctors, consigned to a distant third place. Here I thought I was odd for preferring the Third Doctor to the Fourth, instead of the other way 'round like everyone else... It's like waking up to find that the sausage vs. pepperoni argument has been resolved in favor of anchovies.

I havn't seen Matt Smith in the role yet, but he'd better not ruin the character.
