For me its between the Zerg and Tyranids.

The Zerg solely because of the mighty Ultralisk (who is awesome) and Tyranids because of the hellbeast that is the Carnifex (who is also awesome).

My vote goes to the Carnifex because unlike the Ultralisk, they can hold guns and have a champion known as Old One Eye who has crab claws for hands, can regenerate its dead body, can run incredibly fast for a creature its size and has huge scything talons.

that my good man beats everything i still dislike how they coppied the zergs right off the tyranids since tyranids were invented first then came the zergs

You sure do make alot of threads, OP. Good for you.

OT: Whatever the hell Andross was from Star Fox 64; The floating, bodyless, thickly-bearded, itchy-eyed, spaceship-munching, seemingly Logan's Run-related astro chimp...which disassembles into a giant-brain creature with detatchable laser-eyes if contacted with high dosages of other spaceship lasers.

Think of the fun times you could have if you were one of those things.

Tyranids, hands down. Nothing in any fictional universe is as terrible as them. Those in the know, know.

I've gotta go with Krogan. Though I am not sure i would want to be involved in the universe where they were. I would really suck by any comparison.

I would have to say, the Piggies from Speaker for the Dead. They
turn into conscious, shape shifting trees when they get old and "dead."

Not only that, but they have totally different mannerisms than humans, and only superficially similar emotional states. Their genes are not entirely similar to ours, using a mechanism that does not correlate with our own (thus making digesting their food quite difficult for us). They have audible languages and mental languages, they battle all the time (in fact as a necessary part of their reproduction), and they live in crazy awesome forest tribes.

And then *sob* they all get converted to Catholicism.
Yay! Pequeninos! So much more interesting than the buggers. Although I liked the idea of the descolada virus - a semi-sentient viral life-form.

Also the sangheili/elites. Because "wort wort wort" never sounded so badass.

Hmm.. Well it's a close run between the Chiss in star wars (I frigging love Thrawn. He is AWESOME), the Asari from ME (because its fun to crush someone into oblivion with biotic fields) and the Romulans from star trek (they have an Empire. Need I say more).

A non-human race of cat people that originated in outer space who had a religion centred around hotdogs and donuts who loved style and fish.

They count, and they rule.
I would have that as my second one! (Though the hats were supposed to be green.)

Though my first one is zerg.
2 things.
Zerglings and infested terrans.
Oh yes.
Hell, if they make a zergling plushie, i am buying that without a single question..
Hell, i might 10 so it seems right.

I do!
I just wished that they were in DoW I.
As thats the game I play with my friends at, and having tyranids in that would make me pretty much be the biggest pain in the ass to everyone.

(but i still want that zergling plushie with the wings ^.^)

if the Krogan had been allowed to advance at their own pace, they would (will) have been (be) the greatest species in the galaxy
