ME2. It was a somewhat cool visual, but I spent most of the fight trying to figure out how any of this made sense. And I still have no idea how it makes sense. Even if the ending works, it retroactively makes Sovereign less cool.

I prefer Mass Effect 2's final boss. Robo-Sauren was a pain, nothing more. While the Terminator-esque Reaper was silly, it at least had scope. The damn thing at lest tried to be epic, though I agree that a flying giant human in space is rather silly. Still, the Reaper should've just been a skull/head and nothing more. That way, they'd still keep to the script, more or less, and things would've been taken a bit more seriously

Definition of 'worse' Please.

Worst as in easiest or worst as in damn this is lame.

2's was harder (spamming lift or stasis on robo-saren ftw), but had more scope (OK you had the citadel battle going on in the back of 1 but it was the afterthought - in 2 you fight a big ass terminator-thing

Overall best fight is the asari SPECTRE tho.
Worse in one you disliked more for whatever reason.
oh... then the human reaper from 2. Too much overeliance on cover (criticism of the whole game really). It felt more epic (see above), but was just... nyeh, when compared to the whole game. I mean sure you're beating up a giant terminator and this is REALLY cool, but... doesn't have the resonance of the citadel battle, with countless thousands dying everty second.

I enjoyed the confrontation with Saren; persuading him through Paragon dialogue actions is also fun. Robo-Saren is quite fun to fight too.

I enjoyed the suicide mission as a whole but thought the final boss of ME2 a little disappointing, especially as it wasn't that challenging.

So, I vote ME2 was worse, but in fairness the combat gameplay in ME games is not really about bosses but about climactic staged confrontations with multiple enemies. (Taking down Matriarch Benezia and her Asari commandos in ME1 was probably the most fun of all of these scenarios for me.)

I hate robo Saren the most, he was like a kid on a sugar overdose...especially...when he won't stop bouncing all over the place...STAND STILL SO I CAN SHOOT YOU OR AT LEAST STOP BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS EVERYTIME I TURN TO LOOK AT YOU!

ME2 boss was just meh, too easy in my opinion but at least he didn't jump around...

Obviously you've never heard of the M920-Cain :p
I tried that and missed... somehow. Even so,the Cain isn't an insti-rape on Insantiy. The Stasis/Lift (especially if your Shepard is a Bastion) tactic works on any dificulty on ME1

And again its harder to get to that point on said difficulty in ME2. MUCH. HARDER.

I dont believe I ever fought a harvester though, I suspect its part of DLC?
Boo

And yes it is. Its in the Golems of Amgarrak dlc. By itself it isn't very hard but its constantly calling out for back up and those little fuckers will mess you up.

I didn't think either of them were very good. The Saren battle just felt drawn out rather than difficult and the Human-Reaper fight was boring.

I've been thinking that an on-foot fight against a Reaper would make for a great final boss in Mass Effect 3. Preferably against Harbinger so I can shut his repetitive mouth (do Reapers have mouths?) finally. The fight wouldn't totally be on foot, just a large chunk of it. Maybe we could hop onto the Normandy for a quick strafing run? Or call in an airstrike/orbital bombardment?

I can't say I liked any of the bosses in Mass Effect 1 or 2.

Saren- The character is cool, but fighting him is annoying

Baby Reaper- To me it was just a big robot. It had no character, so I didn't care about it.

Shadow Broker- Ok, he wasn't to bad but still not that great.

That looks like fun to fight. I haven't played Dragon Age yet, so when you first mentioned the harvester, I was thinking of some crazy guy with a hoe coming at you. Lol.

But anyway, I like how this has been going. Seen a lot of feedback from every viewpoint. Also, some very interesting ideas about how the final final boss should go. I have no doubt it'll either be Harbinger or TIM in some fashion (hoping for the first though)

Great now I know where Bioware is going to go with the origin of the Reapers....Skynet built them and sent them back to conquer the galaxy and cleanse it of any John Conners they find.

OT: Depends on what you mean by worse...as in toughest or most boring?

ME2 boss was better I think...some variety, multiple baddies attacking, boss epically dodging my nuke because that was the first time I used it.
For ME1 on hardcore Assault, I died like 4 times before I killed Saren.
For the 2nd ME1 run on insanity Sentinel, it was a total joke (no death that is). Stasis, push, lift, repeat..

I preferred the actual fight with Saren in ME 1. The Human-Reaper in ME 2, while looking impressive, was too easy. It's attacks were slow and easy to predict and it just boiled down to shoot the "fuck-me" lights.

I am gonna have to go with ME2. It was pretty stupid... Well so most of the game but the last boss was especially stupid. ME1 was better in just about every way.

Mass Effect 2's entire finale is one of my favorites of all time, so I don't know why anyone would say what was wrong with that.

So I guess ME1's boss. Though I don't think it was that bad.
