I got a slim after my old one's Ethernet port died and I love it. Plenty of Hard drive space, really quiet, and it just looks pretty.
Number of exclusives doesn't mean anything. I choose '360 over PS3 because of Halo, Gears, L4D and Dead Rising. I know there are good exclusives on both sides, but this takes the biscuit for me.Dexiro said:Whoawhoawhoa have you checked the games for PS3? Or, alternatively, the new black slim one. Like the new slim black PS3, but shunted out of Bill Gates' electronic vagina.
however I will admit I don't like Bill Gates... just more games I want are on 360 then PS3
If you're definitely going for an Xbox though I'd personally get a Slim with the biggest harddrive. I've heard about them being more reliable (as long as you don't move them while they're turned on), and they look shiny![]()
I like the Xbox exclusives better, the only 2 things on the PS3 I have intrest is are "Demons Souls" and "Infamous"Dexiro said:Whoawhoawhoa have you checked the games for PS3? I did not know it's hard drive was NOT removable I'll be sure to remember thatAshhearth said:I would say the version 4 Xbox 360 Elite. You get a 120 Gb removable hard drive and RROD's are the least likely out of all the systems. The new Slim has a 250 Gb but it's not removable and it does have built in wireless so I would say either of these two.
It's fine I was just checking you'd looked at the PS3's games.WOPR said:I like the Xbox exclusives better, the only 2 things on the PS3 I have intrest is are "Demons Souls" and "Infamous"
everything else I want is either on the 360, or computer
and all the original type games I want I have for Wii (No More Heroes, MadWorld, Red Steel 2)
so yes I am sure about getting a 360 not a PS3
plus everyone I know has a 360 for group games and only 1 person here has a PS3, and he only has generic WW2/Modern Warfare FPS's (shocker)
Trust me you're not being a fan boy. All you're doing is trying to find the best deal when it comes to getting an Xbox and there's nothing wrong with that.WOPR said:I did not know it's hard drive was NOT removable I'll be sure to remember thatAshhearth said:I would say the version 4 Xbox 360 Elite. however I do have a 2GB flash drive that's really small that I don't use for anything...
Off Topic: For anyone thinking I'm being an Xbox FanBoy, keep in mind I've never had a 360 OR the classic Xbox for that matter, in fact if you take away the Wii, my newest system is a DreamCast... to which I looked at the Xbox controller and the DC controller and said "WTF!?"
Xbox 360 Arcade or Xbox 360 Super Elite - the Super Elite is guaranteed to be a Jasper model, the Xbox 360 Arcade will be most likely, but you'd need to check. They both have 3 year warranties, while the new slim models have 1 year warranties, and in some ways for certain the slim models have worse build quality than the old models. In the other ways you'd have to wait. Either way, the smart buyer doesn't buy a slim model, because it hasn't been out long enough to know what issues it has. You should also be able to find the Xbox 360 Arcade for less than $150 (where it's still in stock), down to $100, and the Xbox 360 Super Elite should be in the $200-$250 range, so you're saving money compared to the newer models.WOPR said:+ = What I'm looking into/Heard of

Well I turned 18 everyone! **insert group "yay" here** and I'm finally getting a 360
My question is, which model is best?
I can get anywhere from a Pro to a Slim, so help me out here guys!
Which was your favorite model and which do you think is best?
I've heard mixed reviews on Slim vs Elite, all coming down to Wi-fi vs memory storage
BACK TO POINT: Which is the best and why?
EDIT: Oh, and the reason I'm getting one *ah-ahem* MARVEL VS CAPCOM 3! (and until then, castle crashers!)
Truly, they do. I can't afford a PS3 at the moment, but it's not generic shooters that make we wish I could, it's stuff like Litte Big Planet, Ratchet and Clank, God of War, Metal Gear Solid, HD-PS2 collections, and access to the PSN for catching games I missed when they were new.Dexiro said:Your friend needs to be slapped for getting a PS3 for generic FPS's though xD
No memory card slot (that weird memory thing that's not the HDD or a Flash Drive)starwarsgeek said:Are there any disadvantages to the slim?
They Have CoD:MF2, Socom, Medal of Honor (the PS1 download) and amazingly Little Big Planetstarwarsgeek said:Truly, they do. Nice, does it still have USB ports? for Flash Drives and Wired controllers?WinkyTheGreat said:I got a slim after my old one's Ethernet port died and I love it. Plenty of Hard drive space, really quiet, and it just looks pretty.
Yup. Everything is still pretty much the same. I'm still using my component cables from the old 360 too so I didn't end up needing to shell out an extra $30 plus on HDWOPR said:Nice, does it still have USB ports? for Flash Drives and Wired controllers?WinkyTheGreat said:I got a slim after my old one's Ethernet port died and I love it. if you don't care about sound then dont bother with the more expensive options. If you use discs not the hard drive and are only using it for gaming then get a core and save moneyWOPR said:not noise I don't care about soundKarim Saad said:If noise is a deal-breaker, it's only noticeable when you boot up a game (if you install games to HDD). It's silent while you play. The 360 doesn't get hot either that way.
