As an American, I put down CNN because I have the best access to it and it is usually pretty good. However, BBC (when I can watch it) tends to be a lot better. Thank god for PBS and NPR as well.

I trust the BBC to be factual with a lean to the left wing. And by lean to the left wing I mean a socialist love in.

I don;t really follow the news around, but if I see something that seems to be hard to believe, then I just google it and look around the internet.

The Daily Show. I also find it a bit depressing that the most reliable news source I can find is a fake news show.

The only paper here in the UK worth trusting is The Independent because, as far as I'm aware, it's the only paper that isn't biased towards any particular political party.

Oh, and we can trust the Escapist, right?

As a Canadian i generally stick to the CBC which has really journalism standards but otherwise it is BBC or CNN. NEVER FOX "news"

The Onion.

Only news I need.

OT: BBC, they have to be impartial and have a good track record.

Wow, so far two people voted Fox. Dolts. And you forgot The Daily Show, which I think is better then most news channels anyways.
theres always people that vote the "fake" answer

kinda sad really that "news" is no longer synonym with "truth and facts"
in europe most our news is funneled down from CNN or BBC with some local mixed in. i trust it

I'm most fond of NPR, but I think they get most of their information from the BBC, so I'll go with that.

The Daily Show is comparatively limited in content (if not necessarily in subject), but it also seems pretty reliable in its own way. People trying to make fun of everything don't limit their coverage of political viewpoints, and the writers are intelligent enough to keep most of the actual news items constructive.

you missed Daily Show, MSNBC, and the major newspapers

The Escapist only allows for eight poll options. And I wasn't alive when Roosevelt was president so I wouldn't know anything about newspapers.

I'm sorry, I have seen the daily show many times (my friend likes it, i don't) and though I'll admit he's rather unbiased, I don't think he's very good at giving us news, or indeed taking the mick out of it. I don't find him funny at all.
He does lean to the left, but really his only agenda is to make idiots look like idiots. He preys on the stupid posing as geniuses, and that's what makes him funny.

That's why I trust the Daily Show to keep me informed on the goings-ons of todays top stories
