All the talk about how Fox news are a bunch of liars got me curious about who you guys do trust to provide the news. I do read news articles on the internet but I don't especially trust any one source, except maybe my parents.

I do read the news on a webiste or paper sometimes. But I am a bit paranoid so I don't trust any of them realy.

The Daily Show with John Stewart! Okay, granted, it's a comedy news show. That said, Stewart does talk about real news, and the truth is that you do get a serious discussion of the issues from time to time. Also like Real Time with Bill Maher. Not a news show so much as a talk show, but you still get discussions of the issues. Other than that, I don't really like any of the news networks. I'm liberal, but even I feel that MSNBC is biased, and none of the others really appeal to me.

The BBC seem to me to be one of the very few reputable sources that I trust enough.

Stephen Colbert.

Okay, no. But it's the closest news related media I get to. Frankly I've more important things to do than hear how many died in a tornado, or listen to people bicker on how the President is destroying the United States/World/Universe.

Random shit I find on the intrawebs. Between this forum, Leasticoulddo.com, and any number of other random things, I find whatever I need.

I'm sorry, I have seen the daily show many times (my friend likes it, i don't) and though I'll admit he's rather unbiased, I don't think he's very good at giving us news, or indeed taking the mick out of it. I don't find him funny at all.

BBC and The Daily Show. Though to be honest I think The Daily Show is the more trustworthy of the two.

Depends on what's actually being reported, but usually I'll check with a few sources. There are none in particular that I trust.

BBC is by far the best I have seen. CNN is also pretty good as well, though they tend to stay on one topic for an eternity and go over the same information countless times.

Reuters, The Daily Show, and the Colbert Report...

The last two being the most reliable...

I very rarely follow the news. No, really, I didn't know the exact details of the issue in the Gulf until a couple of weeks ago. I knew something oil-related had happened, but that's it. Only after seeing multiple sources lampoon the incident did I read up on it.

When I do decide to browse headlines, though, I just check the AP wire.

BBC, The Guardian and The Daily Show.

I like my news with a slightly left wing slant ;D

I read the BBC website for a slightly more neutral standpoint though.

My local news. Or CNN, but I don't really follow the news that much. I'll watch the local news a couple times per week, and that is good enough for me.

None entirely.

Either on the web or on tv. Run by a conglomerate our one guy alone in their basement. All are equally capable of lying for the same reasons. Even a stand alone site with no ads has the temptation to lie for no other reason then attention or to screw with people.

If a piece of news interests me i look up multiple sources.
