I believe that Nintendo are selling out to raise some profit for a secret super console. At least that's what I want to believe.
I figure the next Xbox (whatever it is/whenever it's released) is the safest bet, and besides, I'd much rather buy a new Xbox than a PS4, given how little use my PS3 gets. The Wii was my first Nintendo console I've owned (not counting handhelds and all the hours I sunk into NES/SNES/N64/GC at friends places) and I doubt very much I will buy another (once again, not counting handhelds).
Isn't this about the longest amount of time we've gone between consoles? Seems like they used to come out every 2-3 years... Oh, and I love how all these people are bashing the Wii, when 90% of the people that do talk crap on it have never played one... I play my Wii more then I would play a 360 (if I had one)...Darkrai said:
Microsoft has promised to keep out the 360 till the day after the PS3 gets shut down, and the PS3 is a 10 year console. I don't think the Wii can last that long.

Fourth Generation: 1987

Fifth Generation: 1993-2002
(9 years)
Sixth Generation: 1998-Dreamcast; PS2 2002 which is really the start.

Seventh Generation: XBox 360 2005, PS3/Wii 2006
Keep in mind, MS kick-started seventh gen with the 360 release, XBox had only been out for four years which was odd looking at history.
I'd expect from how MS, Sony, Nintendo are talking Seventh gen to last a long time before the eighth gen comes out. Around 2014 if I was going to bet on it, as such this poll is WAY too early IMO.
Until I know anything about any of them, none. Any other response would be based blind instinct or fanboyism.
It'll probably be Xbox, not because i want it to, but because Sony have already said the PS3 has another 6/7 years lifespan at least, and i can't imagine that Nintendo's in any hurry when they're still the most popular.

Technology has reached the point where it is not technologically or financially practical to design better hardware. I'm happy with my 360, but when the next consoles do come I would like to see Microsoft's next console.
I like how you called the Nintendo Wii a toy. All video game consoles are toys. I don't care if it has Killzone 2 and that it costs $500, your PS3 is a toy. I don't care about the Lancer in Gears of War, you Xbox 360 is a toy. DEAL WITH IT!!!!
