By gaming trends I don't mean things in game, I mean the things surrounding them. I have included some of the popular ones but if I missed one please tell me.

I've never liked Quick-Time Events. They're not as widespread as they used to be (at least that I've noticed), but they still manage to creep in when I'm least expecting them, and I detest the game's developers for it.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Show me a cutscene, or let me play the game, but don't try to do both. It's ridiculous.

He said not things in-game.

As for me, I hate a game that is released with minimal content, and they excuse themselves by saying "but we plan to release DLC". Fallout 3 did it perfectly, they released an insanely awesome and content-heavy game, then released DLC that only served to improve upon it.

No no no, I mean things not in the actual gameplay.

All of them.

But if subscription fees a-la XBL make their way to major part of PC games, i am going to destroy the world.

Despite my lack of online making me want to say digital distribution, I'm gonna have to go with subscription fees.

So you kind of missed World of Warcraft, then?
I knew someone would say it. I actually meant "on global scale". If EVERY game would require fees like WoW, who wouldn't be pissed off?

Expansion packs, because they make modding a *****. However, subscription fee's do warn me off from a game. It's either an MMO or shit... oh wait.

Subscription fees that are required in addition to buying the game are of the Devil himself. Truly an evil, evil blight upon the modern gamer.

Seriously though: I will either buy the game and play it, or subscribe and play it. NOT BOTH. You get that Blizzard? That's why I hate WoW.

Subscription fees.

Day 1 DLC came close, but then I realized DLC is just a bonus anyway, so there's no real problem there.

I don't really have a problem with any. Subsrcition fees are never really a problem, I always seem to have a month's worth of XBL lying around the house if I ever need it and I can wait to download updates and DLC.

That bullshit I've only just encountered where they MAKE you create an account with some website to play the game online.

You PC folk have had this for awhile but I only just got it through the Bad Company 2 Demo. Good thing I already had an existing EA account! The game was shit anyway.

cutting dedicated servers...
Most players need a baby sitter, otherwise the cheating gets so rampant, that it kills any multiplayer game...

Pudding - it just doesn't mix well with video games... makes the disc all sticky, then it won't work properly, egh.
