I saw episodes I and II before I saw IV-VI, and I don't think that people are being biased. Episodes I and II are just complete garbage, I being the worse of the two, of course, because... well, Jar-jar has a more prominent role. I can't stand him. III wasn't that bad.

Reading this whole forum is kind of saddening. I grew up with the prequel movies the same as most of the people on here grew up with the original trilogy. When I was young I was in awe of everything that had the name Star Wars on it and loved every single movie. I hear people older now complain, just like on this thread, about the new trilogy but if I talk to anyone my age about their favorite Star Wars movie, it is episodes 1,2, or 3 nearly every time. Anyone who grows up with something and loves it doesn't see the mistakes someone who saw it once they were 30 or older sees. Yes now that I am older I can see things that are not as good as they were when I was a kid (Jar-Jar who as a kid I liked to always impersonate the voice and found him hilarious. Now I use that impersonation to make little kids who love him laugh) but I still love those movies just as much as I do the original trilogy because I don't have the nostalgia of going to watch the original Star Wars in theaters. My memories are of me and my dad going to watch episodes 1,2, and 3 in theaters and then talking about the movie with him and my cousin, who was about my age and played Jedi with me, until..... well we still like to talk about it. I do believe that the prequels are geared more towards younger audiences, but that doesn't make them a bad thing. It just makes them more accessible to all audiences. I didn't know why Luke was supposed to blow up the Death Star when I was little, I just wanted to watch a big explosion and a fight with light swords same as I didn't know all the government stuff in episode one, I just wanted to watch a cool looking guy with a two sided lightsaber fight my two favorite characters of the movie (not the series). Yes, the prequels aren't perfect, but neither are the original. A great movie and arguably the best movie series doesn't need perfection. It needs loyal audiences who will continue it on instead of bashing it just because it's not what they wanted or expected. Once I have kids I can't wait to introduce them to Star Wars and watch both original trilogy and prequel trilogy with them! And I will probably even get the Clone Wars tv show for them to watch because that's what kids like

I actually enjoyed all of the films, but I had to pick one so I went with Episode 1. A few scenes were enjoyable but over all I don't think I'd enjoy watching it again all that much.
