Yeah, it is an awful thought. Heard about it the first time about 13 years ago. It's not something you easily forget.

I'm gonna say cluster headaches.

While being eaten by ants sounds horrible, it's the sort of thing that only happens to you once. Cluster headaches can last for hours and can occur spontaneously over the entire course of the life of the sufferer in some cases (about 1 in 5).

Women who've experienced both say that cluster headaches are more painful than childbirth, and amputees say that they are more painful than amputation.

Cluster headaches are technically benign, but they are still treated as a medical emergency because of their propensity to drive people to suicide.
