The Pandora of Avatar. It looks actually fun in comparison to Borderlands. That's right, I went there.

Borderlands. In Borderlands, most things are trying to kill you. In Avatar, most things are trying to kill you, with a higher population density, and the threats are a little more subtle (like the air). Being barren has its advantages. Borderlands, you can hardly walk 3 feet without tripping over some weaponry. In Avatar, you are constantly under the thumb of a major corporation limiting your access to weaponry, unless your killing the locals for immoral reasons. Basically, Avatar is prettier, but Borderlands is a tad safer, more predictable, and has more freedom.

I'd go with the Borderlands one all the way. Complete anarchy, lots of guns, and immortality (new-u stations). What more do you need? My only problem would be... Where did all the women go?

I probably wouldn't last more than 2 hours on either Pandora so I guess I'll choose the "Screwed either way" option.

Avatar's if I could be soul-transplanted into a NA'Vi body. Life has a simplicity there that Earth lost about 7,000 years ago.

others here have said it better but here's my take of it: on Avatar's pandora you've got Lush alien rain forests, amazing(if at times hostile) wildlife. An unique, awesome and awe-inspiring(but primative) people and poisonous atomosphere. On the other you can breath, thiers hidden riches, tons of guns, crazy locals and wildlife aiming to kill you at every turn. yeah I'll stick with Avatar

I suppose i have to go with Borderlands' one. Not that i particulary like deserts or raiders - Avatar definetly wins in environment's prettiness - but i'd like to not be dependent on amoral corporations and have a revolver that shoots shurikens and lightning. Plus, it's cartoon-shaded!

And besides, in Borderlands everyone would be totally obliged to call me "Mad Max". Because shorthand for my name is Max, and i'm not exactly mentally stable.

Avatar's Pandora was one of the main reasons I wanted to see the movie. Because the setting looked gorgeous from everything I have seen, because the blue-people (I still forget the name for them) kind of turned me off initially.

But I saw it for the gorgeous planet and the visuals and never once was I disappointed. It looked great and just felt more real than the one in Borderlands. Seemed more realized- but obviously only one of them is interactive so that might have some votes for it. Still gotta go with Avatar though.

Maybe if I play more Borderlands at my mate's place I would change my mind

Avatar. Beautiful bioluminescent jungle scenery, floating rocks populated by dragons, and a native race of kickass ten-foot-tall blue cat people.

Borderlands.

What's the point of walking around some lush jungle with all that fauna and beautiful plants if you can't even smell them? Besides, it probably rains most of the time.

In Borderlands the New-U stations would mostly prevent untimely events. Not to mention the weaponry.

Besides, I'd rather shoot Skags and bandits rather than walk around a jungle. Both environments basically look the same, but in Borderlands dangerous things can't hide very well.

That is honestly a hard choice. On the one hand, Avatar's Pandora is absolutely beautiful, but I can't breathe without a mask. It'd be nice to be able to see all the species of flora and fauna, though.

Borderland's Pandora, on the other hand, allows me to breathe on the surface, but doesn't really allow me to not get shot as often as I would like. It'd be a hell of lot more fun to shoot stuff all the time, though.

In the end, I'll have to go with Avatar.
More or less this. Being shot isn't constructive.
