Screw DMC3, get DMC 1.......unless you have it.
not saying that dmc3 is a bad game, its just the first is better.

ANYWAYS..if you have that already, i would say Sands of Time or Jak and Daxter.

POP is a great story, awesome game mechanics, and loads of fun.

while Jak and Daxter is a great platformer with a good story, funny dialogue, and best of all anyone can play it.
i agree DMC 1 is definetely the best
I mainly like it better because of the difficulty. I BREEZED through dmc3 on almost every difficulty level, yet i struggle on hard mode in DMC1.
But of course, after the first one, the japanese complained of the difficulty and capcom tuned it down from then on. which is why DMC2 sucked so bad.

That's all I have to say about that.
yeah dmc2 sucked uber monkey sack

you still play the PS2? but the graphics suck.
Ah, so THAT's why people have stopped playing Pacman, Tetris, Minesweeper, Solitaire and all those other timeless classics that suffer from not being normal-mapped.
Oh, wait! Notice something?

Graphics are among the least important things in a good game. Look at Far Cry 2 - a game can have astonishing graphics all it wants, I'll still crucify it with the programmers' bones if I find it lacking in story, atmosphere and gameplay.

Then phrase it as an opinion, which it is, not as a matter of fact, which by the definition of a subjective argument it cannot be.

Torn between SoT, BGaE, and Timesplitters. Also, put Hitman: Blood Money in the running. That game was awesome.

Frankly you can go wrong with ratchet and clank in my opinion and Devil May Cry 3 was pretty good, though I thought God Hand was funnier.

I think "Ratchet and Clank" should be the first purchased. Start with the third game, "Up Your Arsenal." All R&C games are near-free priced and have a rediculous amount of replay value. It will be a permanent addition to your collection and something I can promise you will enjoy.

After that, try DMC3. Also a good game, though very hard.

I personally would recommend that you try and get Mercenaries 1. I personally enjoyed the game a lot. It's like GTA except with more explosions.

Burnout 3. You can play it forever, and it has a good replay value.

Why not Timesplitters 3?
How about Call of Duty 2: Big Red One? Or Killzone. Or Delta Force Black Hawk Down. Or The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Or Mega Man Anniversary Collection, woo! Try that Excalibur game with King Arthur, it was really bad but I loved it.
There were a lot of PS2 games I loved back when PS2 was new but all I ever actually played was the N64. Now I just get the XBOX port of any game that was on both the XBOX and the PS2. Although Delta Force only has people playing it online on the PS2. Wish I could find that game somewhere.
