get morrowind for god sake, well it is old, but i still think it is one of the best RPG's around.

For a JRPG: Persona 4
For a more western RPG: Mass effect. There is no substitute.

Fallout 3 for sure.
If you've got a PS2/BC PS3, I'd also recommend Persona 3

Of the foremost stated games, Fallout 3 is the only one worth a mention. If you like RPGs try that, or mix it in with older things like Oblivion, or if you like really old things try Diablo 2, Baldurs gate (either) or FF7.

I was planning on trading in some of my games, and getting a RPG.
Any suggestions?

I've already got oblivion, so don't say that one.

If you like oblivion get fallout 3. its like oblivion but with machine guns and nukes

also I'm pretty sure Saints row 2 isn't and RPG

i consider it a rpg if ur playing freeplay and freeplplay only

and isnt fallout 3 a rts* and a tbs*

Farcry 2 and GTAIV are not RPG's. Farcry 2 doesn't have any RPG elements in it, it's just an open world first person shooter with impressive, but incomplete fire physics. GTA IV has some RPG elements, but they aren't too enjoyable. At least I didn't find the dating enjoyable. And the game altering decisions are very rare. Too rare for anyone to really care about.

im only saying farcry 2 is an rpg b/c my friend said it was oblivion w/ bullets....

Farcry barely passes as an acceptable FPS, and it barely has any choice *That effect the games plot* All it is, is shoot me, dont then have some other guy give you the same mission, that wont change anything in the end of the game, just it'll be him you inevitably shoot.
