Have to say. Would love to see blade Runner done again. I never really got the 1997 pc version. There's this comic: The adventures of Luther Arkwright, the setting would be nice in a rpg, steampunk scifi. Two tabletop rpg's: Dragonstar D20 and Space 1889.

We need a good Dune game. Not some stupid RTS on Arrakis or something like that, something awesome. Like an MMO. There could be a bunch of classes like Swordmaster, or Mentat, or Bene Gesserit, and... and...

It sounded cooler in my head...

A Heroes game would be pretty awesome, though. Now THAT would make a killer MMO.

I'd love to see a computer version of Space: 1889's "Sky Galleons of Mars" game. Sword-and-pistol fighting during cannonades between dirigibles and flying men-o'-war? Sweeeet.

TRON MMO would be pretty bangin', too. Or at least a 3-D game that FEATURES TRON.

I agree with a Blade Runner game. I'm thinking open-world action not unlike Crackdown.

Firefly, but ONLY if Joss Whedon is on hand to help guide its developement. There's so much lore left undiscovered in that universe, that that project would need Whedon's hand in order to ensure that they didn't do anything retarded with it.

On a more "realistic potential to happen" I'd absolutely love to see Warhammer 40k done in a Planetside scale game.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!

I Think an X-files one "might" be fun.
That universe could be quite big & offer lots of different game ideas if you include all the fictional crossover associated with it.

This only works on the assumption that if the same fictional character appears in more than one fictional series, then they exist in the same fictional universe.

Frank Black, Lance Henriksen's character from Millennium, appears in the X-Files, which ties those two programmes together & adds more supernatural/occult/conspiracy elements to the universe.

Detective John Munch, Richard Belzer's character from Homicide: Life on the streets, appeared in an episode of the X-files & also features Homicide, Law & Order, SVU, Arrested Development, The Beat, The Wire. So this adds a more traditional cops & robbers/investigations/down to earth gritty realism element to the universe.

If you tie all these programmes together in one game universe then you could have a pretty expansive game with lots of scope for different ideas.

Galactica is in severe need of a FPS
No, I don't agree. Maybe a fighter sim, or better yet a fleet game like Homeworld with a persistant fleet, but I think a first-person-toaster-shooter would be too monotonous except maybe as a short, or mini-game within a larger title.

The Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy (Who wouldn't want to wield that depressed housewife gun? Seriously?)

and

Doctor Who...WITH GUNS! Honestly, it would make an awesome shooter if you could EXTERMINATE Daleks, DELETE Cybermen and just kick the ass of Sontarans and various aliens in the WHOniverse.
Hell yes. UNIT and Torchwood kick ass.

Both of which are not on the Poll, I might mention.

I voted Babylon 5 because that was the only selecting that I could feel good voting for because of the following.

Galactica, 40k, Star Trek, Stargate have had games done for them or have games in developement, mostly PC and some of them were quite bad but i just do not want to see games done again.

Starship troopers would just be called an alien rip off and would not do justice to the book since it would be based off teh movie and the movie was just a terrible representation of the book.

I did not vote for Firefly because while it is awesome and the movie was great I do not feel that the greatness would translate well into a video game, if you do not believe me try playing the pen and paper firefly role playing game and if your expierence is similar to mine then please let this idea die.

BSG is definitely getting my vote. It could be an awesome mix of futuristic FPS action with a TIE fighter-esque fighter game.

There should be a Rogue Leader style arcade shooter based on all the major battles from the Dominion War in DS9, with bonus levels based on other famous Trek battles. (Not like Legacy. Not at all.)

Switch between controlling the Defiant and the Rotarran to mine the wormhole, defend DS9, invade the Chin'toka system, use a hijacked Jem'Hadar fighter to destroy the ketracel white facility, re-take DS9 in Operation Return, trigger the supernova to destroy the Monac Shipyards, steal the Breen energy dampening weapon, invasion of Cardassia and so forth.

Should be almost exactly like Rogue Leader but in Trek paint, but not so much like Rebel Strike.

Unlock the second Borg incursion from First Contact as a bonus mission, where you have to direct all your fire at a single spot on the Cube until it's destroyed, the pursue the escaping Sphere into the temporal rift and destroy it within a time limit.

I think turning BSG into an MMO would be cool.

You character class can be anything from chief mechanic, viper pilot, raptor rescue missions, BSG colonial authorties, any important job on the bridge. Command or be a member of any of the colonial ships with specific duties. The flip side could play various cylons (old and new), raider pilots, base star servants, resurection ships, etc.

Plenty of huge raids: Galactica and crew infiltarting cylon outposts, defending against base star attacks or cylon raiding parties. Destroy or capture resecurection ships/colonial ships. New and old Caprica cities.

Quests: protect fleets, investigate new planets for resources, find cylon imposters among crew, develop new tech, discover ruins with clues to earth. Kobol influenced quests. New species introduced. Limiteless here.

Economics: bartering, black market, credits

Events: Have an occasional missions with surviving BS's like Pegasus. I think it would be awesome if everyone had a specific role to play in protecting and making sure a Battle Star was operational (or one of the surving fleet) during a Cylon attack.

I kinda see elements of Eve Online and Homeworld mixed with X-Wing and Wing Commander series with a pinch of the better ideas from SWG mixed in.

Did people miss this?

Given the average review of it, I would venture a yes.

The universe from Hitchhikers Guide to the galaxy. Fighting the immense armies of Krikkit would be amazing.
They made a small browser based one. It was HORRIBLE! I cannot stress that enough. it was like a terrible adventure game all over again. The basic concept was that you had to do a sequence of events in the right order to proceed, but you had no clue as to what those events were. Worst of all, it was timed (at least the part in his house which I couldnt get past because I couldnt get to the fucking bathroom!) before they bulldoze you!

okay thats just a really hard decision, i picked SG1, as i am a fan XD, but, they are all great universes, and i would love for a game to come out for each one, which would be amazing!!!
But i would definately say that, possibly, if they did an rpg of Dune, the original, not the later ones, where you had the same sort of gaming decisions as fallout 3, then it would be awesome, in my opinion, and possibly, the same game idea, but for battlefield earth, the book, not that god awful movie with john travolta, and Forest Whittaker, who saved that movie.
