First off This is my first thread/poll ever on the Escapist woo. Second sorry if this has been asked or done before, and or is in the wrong section.
Now for the good bits. Which scifi/futuristic setting would you want to live in. I'll place some options in the poll. I'll also place an "other" option for settings I don't know about. The options are all I could think of.

I've been thinking about it lately, and I think I would go with the Mass Effect setting. As much as I love Warhammer 40K. I think I'd prefer the Mass Effect setting.

EDIT: Keep in mind most people in Warhammer 40k don't even know about the wars, and the like. Chances are you would be perfectly happy in your life. Unless you lived on a forge world.

If you read the codex in mass effect about humans or earth it sounds like its going really well for humans, and well, war hammer 40.000 is just a hell hole.

I've never been a fan of sci-fi, but from what I can recall I havent seen any futuristic envieroments in movies/games that seem nice to live in. It's always rather war torn and gloomy.
Chose Mass Effect anyways. I loved the games, and some planets were beautiful!

If all the wars in 40k suddenly ended I would pick that.

...of course the wars wont end...which is the point of 40k...

Futurama, relatively peaceful in comparison to the ones you've listed, and I'd imagine it would be pleasant to live in.

Definitely Star Trek. Less immediately galaxy-crushing danger on the horizon than Star Wars, Mass Effect, and Warhammer 40k.

Mass Effect as it seems a mostly peaceful place to live in. The tech seems extremely advanced and its quite believable in its science... I think its one of the more realistic Sci-fi universes out there.

Oh, yeah. Bring home a few Asari...

OT: I can't really decide. A lot of them are cool, but as I quoted, Mass Effect would be great for the alien life.

Well, from those four I'd go with Mass Effect,
but others I wouldn't mind:
Pern
Pandora (from Avatar, not Borderlands)
New Eden (but ONLY if I got to be a capsuleer)
...oh, and I'd definitely captain a Firefly.

Well, space is the most interesting in Star Trek, but there are more interesting stories to tell in Star Wars. Still, I'm gonna go with Star Trek, but only if I get to command my own ship. I'm not signing up as a red shirt...

How did I forget this? Pern, definitely! As long as I get a dragon.

Or Mass Effect. Smallest chance of stumbling across death, and quite a nice looking future.

I really, really like the look of Tron: Legacy right now. I don't even care if the movie is good, the world looks beautiful.

I guess I would live in the Star Wars universe since it's the only Sci-Fi I really know... I'll live in a high-rise flat on Coruscant.

Star Trek. Synthehol, guys.
You can't get drunk off of it and it tastes different for some people...

I'd probably go with Star Trek anyway. Great medical care, people do whatever the hell they want as a profession, sexy pre-beard Riker.
