I only just bought the game two days ago, playing Zerg the most since they just seem cool and I usually go for the swarmy\guerrilla armies and the Zerg seem to come across as that to me most.

Been playing online ranked mostly and just getting my carapace kicked around left and right. HOPEFULLY I'll get better as I learn more about the game but I am having a lot of fun even when losing. :D

With my entire experience of Starcraft being watching a playthrough of Heart of the Swarm...
FOR THE SWARM!

I would say Protoss. I always loved super advanced races. I just adore their design in general; everything is so crystalline, with colors of blue and gold. The whole energy weapon thing is cool too. After finishing Heart of the Swarm today, I seem to have a soft spot for the Zerg as well, even if I cannot play them worth a toss. For the Swarm/Aiur!

Zerg.
First, they're name is the exact sound you make when you are suddenly ravished in the bum by hundreds of zerglings.
Second, i love the idea of crushing my enemy with sheer numbers, and overwhelming them completely.
Third, it's all organic.

I'm not a starcraft player, but having watched plenty of people play online Zerg are the best thing ever. I love the whole hive-mind style race and the way they play looks like a laugh.

Besides, there aren't many game races that coin a term as iconic as 'zerg rush'

Terran or Zerg, sadly I am mechanically at my best with Toss. Also, long life our new Zerg overlord, long live Startale.

Also since there seem to be alot of zerg player... anyone using swarm hosts? Every situation i think of to use them in already has a unit that are better suited for it. I love the idea of zerg siege, but zerg without mobility has proven fairly useless
Very standard and amazingly strong in ZvP to keep the toss in 1 or 2 bases.

I honestly play random, but fuck me if I don't love the Brotoss.

But I love things about every race. Protoss just too shiny to resist. Maybe I'm a kleptomaniac...

Well, some people like the zerg because swarming their enemy with creepy-crawlies is their thing. Some might like the protoss with all their high-tech fancy shiny warp doo-dads. Me? I like bullets. I like bombs. I like blowing shit up. BEEN FIGHTIN' FOR TERRAN VICTORY SINCE '98, BABY!!

Besides, we have the Power of Rock on our side:
It's the deadliest weapon ever.

Non-player here(well unless you count the barely week long time the original SC was on my hard drive)
From a pure aesthetic point of view, it'd have to be protoss or zerg.
Probably protoss.

Protoss.

The ability to warp in, alter the battlefield with use of forcefields and their general unit/base building fits well with me. I played most of my matches in WoL as Protoss, getting all the way up to Diamond :)
After that, Terran. Siege tanks can dictate where enemy units can or cannot go, as approaching a siege tank wall is often met with extreme loss of units. Fast harassing units such as the reaper and the new WM are great for trolling your opponent and dealing some decent damage as well.

I hate zerg as I can't work with the larva system. I also have too few of everything.

Terran. I always tend to go for the most "normal" faction in an RTS for some reason even if shooters are a bit bland. Course, I'm so slow with the mouse/keyboard I can't play an RTS well to save my life.

To play, Terran. Its system just makes the most sense to me and I can play them decently. Sure, they are just space marines, but they look okay and have fun units. The Wings of Liberty campaign made me love them and every time I play with friends I go Terran. Suits them fine since they are generally Zerg or Protoss. ^^

The Zerg are fun to play as well, but I just can't get the hang of their system, much like I could never get the hang of Undead in WCIII. I'm taking it slow with the HotS campaign (1 or 2 missions per day) because I want to make the enjoyment last, and until now it hasn't disappointed.

I don't much like the Protoss. Don't much care for elves in general and these space elves are not much better. They have some fun units and abilities, but overall I don't like playing them much. Maybe their campaign will make them more enjoyable and familiar to me.

Definitely Zerg. But God Damn it, it's hard to play them! HEY INJEST LARVAE! HEY PUT A TUMOR! HEY YOU NEED A NEW HATCHERY! HEY! HEY! HEY!
It's a shame Navi isn't *actually* the zerg equivalent of the terran adjutant... Take my rupees for that DLC!!!

I'm a zerg player, ex-protoss. We're quite weak at the moment. Life might have taken MLG dallas, but he's Life, the best SC2 player in the world.

I think when the win-ratio data for all levels of play arrives in the summer, it'll bear me out.

But let's put that aside. They're my favourite because I love the macro mechanics. Switching from protoss did wonders for my APM and rank, which had stuck for a year or so at 90 / gold and now rests at a decent 230 / low to mid masters. I broke several control barriers thanks to the zerg chores forcing me to make efficient hotkeys and just physically speed up.

Going a whole game hitting those location F keys at just the right moment to slam in the next round of injections is immensely rewarding. I also love spreading creep like some ominous ground-based storm cloud.

You can't stop the weather, you know.
