Poll: Which Starcraft race is your favorite?

In terms of gameplay, Terran. They are the most straightforward and I find them to be fairly decent at the start game (disclaimer: have't played much of Starcraft 2 in general, most of my experience comes from the first one).

In terms of aesthetics, Zerg. Got a love a race with the power to vomit purple slime...

Having only played the original and Brood war, I would say I am fairly balanced with all races, They're just way too much fun in their own ways.
But if I were to choose, I would say the Protoss. The "no-expendable-units-here" mentality, the unique aesthetics, Hit and running with the dark templars and the fact that they have(had) Zeratul, Feanix AND Tassadar on side(Whereas the zerg only have Kerrigan and Terrans have Raynor. Though I wonder if Samir Duran can be considered a zerg cool hero?). Also, if you are clever in Brood war, get a Dark archon to mind control a SCV and/or drone and you can have all three factions working together if you can keep up with the economy.

The neutral critters, them I like.
If we could only develop a technology to shrink them down and place them in small containers we can wear on our belt. Perhaps some brain-washing to make them obedient and have battles with them for money and badges.

Toss
If we are talking map here, I picked them because I like high tech stuff And they happen to fit my plays tile very well
Lore wise they are stuck up religious assholes who don't do nearly enough with all their cool tech.

The zerg are a clusterfuck. I much prefer regular unit factories.

Zerg. I'm a bio major so I like their lore the best, and a lot of their units are really cool. However, I play protoss. That says something, I'm sure.

Even though I don't play StarCraft as often as I should, nor am I as good at the game as I would like to be, it is pretty satisfying to have 30 units pop out at once, (excuse the pun) and literally swarm the opponent.

Terran or Zerg, sadly I am mechanically at my best with Toss. Also, long life our new Zerg overlord, long live Startale.

Also since there seem to be alot of zerg player... anyone using swarm hosts? Every situation i think of to use them in already has a unit that are better suited for it. I love the idea of zerg siege, but zerg without mobility has proven fairly useless

Very standard and amazingly strong in ZvP to keep the toss in 1 or 2 bases.

so like mass hosts outside the natural for zone control (assuming they dont open with stargate) then try to get a 3rd/4th expo while you have them in there?

and one thing i didnt notice before.. Life used 1 swarm host to trigger widow mines, 1 host could basically mitigate an entire minefield and if they try relocating the locusts kill the mine. So if i was good enough to remember where mines actually were thatd be awesome

Terran, I just love the looks. Sadly I can't play "normal" games for shit. Good thing there is an abundant amount of custom made maps, such as tower defense.

Seriously though, I do like the Terrans. Mostly because they're all so over the top.

Come on, what other race has a line that rivals: "What is best: to crush the Zerg, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the Protoss."

No, you don't rush them or mass them early, not efficient. See this leenock vs babyknight match on MLG for a textbook example of how to use swarm hosts http://bcove.me/dnljrod9 ; i think there were other good host examples in the tourney, but this one is perfect.

Also, Life, don't even try to use Life as an example of anything, he is next level zerg, mines don't hurt his units, he has extra minerals and each larva spawns 3 zerglings! Seriously tough, don't try to learn from Life, for all intended proposes he is not a human.
