Than why aren't you Playing Red Faction: Guerrilla?vallorn said:Battlefield 3. i need moar Destruction 2.0!
Yes there was a Reach beta. Yet notice how they are also hyping the Campaign? We know were part of Nobel Team and were the last defense for Reach (I could go on and on). Were playing as one of the best Spartans where there is only one other like him. Call of duty isn't telling us any thing about their campaign. All we know is that its set in Vietnam and your the black ops. Thats it.heavymedicombo said:O RLY! *points at reach beta*enzilewulf said:Because thats all they have advertised for (or from what I have seen) and thats what most people play the game for.heavymedicombo said:how do you know?enzilewulf said:Reach. CoD is going to be this. 4hr campaign and then "HOLYZ ZHITS......MULTIPLAYER"... Where at least Reach tells us about campaign.
OT: personally, PORTAL 2! [sub][sub][sub]if it counts[/sub][/sub][/sub]
Finally, somebody who explains it! I haven't played the first Modern Warfare for a long time, I don't even have it anymore but it was definitely a good game. The campaign was much longer as well which was a bonus, it took me about a day to finish it but Modern Warfare 2 took 5 hours and 33 minutes.Yagharek said:Presumably because they disagree with your opinion.Diablo27 said:Why are people bitching about Modern Warfare 2? Sure the single player campaign was bloody short but it was bloody brilliant as well, there was little to no realism but it was SPECTACULAR.
Personally, I didn't like the MW2 campaign much. The majority of levels didn't require much thought-it wasn't as tactical as cod4, nor as challenging.
They also went in the direction of completely packing the game with action. Now, this I consider bad for a couple of reasons. I like frantic bits of game. However, I like it to be balanced out by slower sections. It makes the game less repetitive, and adds some suspense.
They took a similar approach to the story. It was spectacular. In block capitals. Again and again and again. Perhaps my favourite part about cod4 is the fact that, instead of being some kind of hero on a giant scale, it deliberately alternates to smaller scale, covert missions, and builds up from there. Cod4s story was well balanced. It had the really impressive stuff, balanced by the cloak and dagger, and MW2 doesn't manage this for me. It takes the spectacular elements which were successful in cod4(such as the character death) and repeats them over and over, which only lessens the impact.
Really surprised Human Revoplution's not in there somwhere, but at this point i would have to say most likely Brink.StarkillerisDead said:So at this stage, by November there's gonna be three dueling FPSes on the market. Halo Reach, Medal of Honor and Call of Duty Black Ops. Which one are you most keen to get? Or are you just gonna get all three?
Personally, Halo Reach is already out of... reach for me because I don't have an Xbox.
Out of the other two I'm more interested in Black Ops solely because the setting and premise grabbed me from day one. The cold war is more interesting to me than Afghanistan and I suspect lots of work will have gone into the storyline.
But hey, that's me, what do you reckon?
NB: Really sorry if this topic is already being discussed elsewhere.
This. Absolutely this. I've been waiting for this game for so long, and I can't wait for it.The Amazing Tea Alligator said:
Don't you know you can NEVER, EVER go there?!?!Aylaine said:Dead Space 2. Also, Half life Episode 3.
...Yeah I went there! xD
With forge world, you won't need to buy a map pack. someone will probably find a way to recreate the maps there.AxCx said:Reach. Reach so, so very much.
Flame me if you feel you need to, but Reach looks like some kind of remake of Halo: CE and I am soooo fucking chuffed about that. Only thing im not looking forward too is M$ charging a bazillion trillion dollars for the map packs. I didnt buy any of them for Halo 3 (10 euros for 3 maps? Greedy cunts, thats 10 euros id rather spend on shitting in an package and sending it to the xbox support center) but that might change with Reach.
