Not Capcom, they are just trying to compete with Nintendo for the "dumbest business moves" award these past two years.

Not Ubisoft, they are dicks, but at least they are sticking with it. They have their shitty DRM and I get to tell them to piss off.

It's between EA and Activision. Both have absorbed and subsequently started to ruin legendary game development studios (Bioware and Blizzard being the most prominent examples), both are prone to douche moves and screwing over their customers.

Before this week, I'd give the award to Acti, but with the whole Origin debacle and the danger of it being in my DA3 and ME3, EA has tied the reace, maybe even taken the lead as the gaming's biggest douche.

Hard choice, but I will go with EA. Just abot everything they do are dick moves. Origin, their abyssalmarketing, the whole EA-Sports thing (realesin annual add-ons as full price games, their fucking hybris and the fact that in all EA Games I know you cant't skip their fucking EA intro screen. Acti just can't compete with that, no matter how douchy they are.

Gamestop also deserves to be mentioned.

saying you hate something/someone and saying something/someone is a douche are two different things with that in mind. My vote is for EA, why? Quite simply because they continue to attempt to follow the "trends" while saying they are making "better" games. Lets break this down, if CoD MW2, and Black Ops came out year(s) ago, then of course by route of technological advancement, the "newer" game (using most of the same mechanics [i.e. fps syndrome]) is obviously going to be "better". However EA has had many times where they've simply dropped the ball, BF2142 was a great change from the hum drum BF2 days, and it only got one expansion, which was iffy at best. Even better they took down legendary companies left and right, through both takeovers, and "assisted" shut-downs. Maxis is now a joke-farm that shells out games, which if made from start to finish by the old Maxis, would be star-studded examples of excellent games. Look at the trailers for Spore before the huge TWO year gap of "development", to anyone its more so that they cut more and more from the game, only to end up with an "OK" "organic-lego-builder". Then they continue to make horrible games, such as the recent Dungeon Crawler/Diablo "clone" Darkspore, which I really wish I hadn't bothered to buy. The lack of an OFFLINE (LAN) MP system is unbelievably stupid, especially when you have to rely on the bug-nest that is Steam (here's looking at you Valve D<) to be able to start the game up in the first place. Since Steam's inception playing games for the fun of it (on private servers too) has gone out the window. I remembered when you could do all-sorts of mods and custom maps for Cod2. Now you'll be happy with nothing more then gold-paint on a gun or two, after playing the same MP grind-fest FIFTEEN TIMES OVER.

At this point I stick to either games from Japanese companies, or play SP games. Because most MP games (as usually told by ZeroPunctuation), have no concept of SP, most of the time SP modes take less time then the time needed to rank up halfway in MP.

So until the shit settles, I'll be that one picky friend who buys a game every once and a while after knowing they'll play it forever, and believes that DLC is what the Devs "forgot" to put in the game. In any case the fact has been explained above that the consumers are driving the industry into the ground by taking just about anything from the Companies. You could use the analogy that the common consumer is a "free" prostitute who'd do anything for a little "fun". (Only to realize after waking up in a tub of Ice that their kidneys have been stolen, as agreed to in the T&C)

EA. My EA online account got murdered for no reason.

I was playing ME2,Project FIREWALKER,with Zaeed in my party,wearing the Cerberus Combat Armour,sweeping rooms with the Cerberu Arc Projector. All gotten through the Cerberus Network. As I was trying to take down a Geth (Collossus? Armature?),I got bounced to the title screen,game saying it can't authenticate the DLC,as it's "Linked to another EA Online Account"

I got that DLC a few hours beforehand. I didn't log off. I was forcibly logged out of my EA Online account during gameplay. When I tried to log back in,it,for some reaso,OVERWRITTEN MY CURRENT EA ONLINE ACCOUNT WITH A NEW ONE,WITHOUT ANY OF MY DLC.

Fuck you,EA. You used to be cool.

Valve for making me submit to Steam in order to play games I'd already legally and fully purchased. People are going on about Origin at the moment, but Steam started it, people! Sure, Steam is less intrusive than Origin, but it's still intrusive. If you get mugged it doesn't matter much much you get mugged, just that you get mugged.

it was linear, laggy and boring, unlike fallout 3 and im glad i only borrowed it not wasted my money

what game were you playing? Fallout 3 was more linear. No offence, but you sound like one of those guys who played through 5 minutes, and because it wasn't a continuation of Fo3 you immediately wrote it off as a "cash in".

Don't get me wrong, I love fallout 3, but I do love New Vegas more and I don't think it deserves all the hate it gets. The Inconsistent stability though is a fair call, but that can be attributed to Bethesda rushing it out the door to compete with fable 3, and some reported that New Vegas wasn't that bad (myself included, but sometimes...)

Also, unlike other game companies obsidian actually try. They may not seem like they are, but at least they tried some new (and old but lost over time) things.

Sorry for the all over the place rant/Imnotsurewhatthisis. Should start promising to myself that I won't break into New Vegas defence every 5 minutes...

Its ok, maybe im not looking far enough into new vegas, im in novea novum? the second N town where theres a doc there and boone etc... anyway so far i have been told go to 1 city then the next then the next then the next, all in pretty strait lines, i have found 2 side quests which didnt exactly take me far from the beaten track, ok i know im only like 4 hours of so into new vegas but by that time in fallout 3 i had nuked megaton, done most of moira browns quest, found out where my dad was going, found loads of new locations i didnt have to go to, hadnt been warned to to go off a path incase i get eaten by rad scorps or death claws, i just found them(and to deathclaws consiquently died to them in old ohney) and was headed to republic of dave before going to the GNR building for next main quest.

from the ammount of the map i have so far traversed it looks like im about half way through walking around all the map, it looks and feels tiny compared to FO3 or say Oblivion or Morrowind which all seemed atleast 10 times the size of the new vegas map, andnone of them had a very clear path going from where you start to where you finish (im assuming most the story takes place in new vegas itself and i saw the road the first time i opened my map i knew how i would end up getting there.

so ye other people may have liked the game and thats fine, but thats why i disliked new vegas and just wish it wasnt there, i will play it to completion, unless it really gets on my nerves, but only because im not a quitter, but i wouldnt replay it or buy it.
